lathe duplicator cutter
I had trouble finding a cutter for our shop lathe duplicator. You were the only company that seemed to have it. The service was good and the price was good. I'm sure we will be dealing with you in the future.

Cutter should match copy rod
The contour of the cutter should match the contour of the copy rod. The sharp point cuts too aggressively I have a slow grinding wheel so reshaping the cutter was no problem. I've been turning spindles and chair and table legs for about 30 years now and copying by use of calipers. So the duplicator makes the job easier..I've been trying to get the duplicator adjusted to where the copy is within a hundredth of an inch of the original. Got it down to 0.05" error but still working on getting it better. And repeatable when I re-mount the duplicator.

I need it for my duplicator

It's been my experience that cutters don't stay sharp for long and it pays to have an extra one on hand.

What are the dimensions of this cutter? I'm looking for a cutter for a LKH 950 and want to know if this one will fit.

I need to lower my cutter by 1/4 inch to be on the centerline of my lathe. How do I adjust the cutter height ?
Jerry S on Jan 14, 2017
Can anyone tell me the diameter of the replacement cutter? I picked up an old duplicator at a garage sale that looks very similar to the Rockler model. The cutter itself looks identical to the Rockler cutter. It's just under a half inch (15/32" to be more exact).

BEST ANSWER: Well after reading this answer I ordered this cutter, because I needed a replacement cutter just under a half inch. This cutter, despite being for a full size lathe duplicator, is not 15/32" they are 5/16" according to my digital calipers and too same for most wood lathe duplicators (even the mini and midi bench top lathe duplicators). Unless you are replacing the cutter in a duplicator that you bought from Rockler, do not buy this cutter.
