Woodworking Experience:
Works for me
I use this to align my blade and table saw fence and it is accurate enough for my needs. My joinery is spot on so leads me to believe that this is pretty good to get everything lined up. Sure I could go out and spend way more for similar products but this fills all my needs and I happy with it.

Works well - Good value
There is no denying the bang for the buck with the Mag-Dro mitre slot base especially if you already have a high quality caliper. I mount a 6" Mitutoyo vernier/analog caliper to it; it fits perfectly in the Mag-Dro and the Mag-Dro fits perfectly in the miter slot of my Sawstop JSS Pro without the need for any adjustment. It is tight enough that there is no play yet slides smoothly. On my table saw the caliper easily reaches the blade from the miter slot.

Now I also use the MasterPlate (made by MasterGage) reference plate rather than the blade because blades may not be reliable as they have there own run out issues which the MasterPlate does not have. It does cost about $50 plus shipping and tax but once you use you won't want to use the blade again.

I plan to eventually get the MasterGage Classic alignment tool which allows you to measure a lot more parameters and much more accurately. But it is $250 so until I get it the Mag-Dro is a pretty good substitute.

Unbelievable!!!! Love it.
Purchased this about 2 years ago. I was thinking “How good could this be? It’s plastic.” Finally got a chance to use it with a Starrett 797 digital caliper on my new Delta 36-725. Now Im a millwright by trade, so I work with .001/in everyday. Took about 30 minutes to get the saw blade within .002 over the length of the blade. Which is about 8” when fully raised.
Then I used it to make sure the fence was square with the miter slots. I was able to bring that in to .001 over the length of the fence, which is about 24”. Thats way more accurate than I have to deal with on a daily basis and even more precise than wood needs to be. This little jig is AWESOME!!!
