The Nova 48122 Select Precision Midi Chuck with 1'' x 8TPI direct thread is a fully-featured, value-priced chuck. A four-jaw self-centering chuck, its compact size minimizes loads on small lathe spindles and bearings, making it suitable for smaller wood lathes with up to 12'' of swing. With unique Nova features such as Auto Stop, copper composite jaw slides, and 2'' Jaws included standard, the Select Precision Midi boasts excellent value at an entry-level price. The fast two-lever operation makes it ideal for fast production turning of smaller work. Takes the same accessory range as other Nova Chucks. Direct threaded 1'' x 8TPI RH. Will not accept inserts.

- Special woodturning profile on jaws cuts into wood fibers for a firm grip
- Made from precision machined 1045 high tensile steel.
- Able to take all Nova accessory jaws. However, please note: the larger accessory jaws in the Nova line are not recommended for use on the Precision Midi Chuck. For more information, see the offers for individual jaw sets
Note: Will NOT accept chuck adaptors. Will only accept Nova Spindle Adaptors (see e.g. #63722, sold separately). Woodworm Screw is sold separately.
