Tapered Panel Retainers

Item #
GRP2203_1
Rating:
84% of 100

Use these retainers for holding in your panels. Tapered Pads—Gently, yet firmly, hold glass in place. Retainer's special design holds glass in place but still has the flexibility to stop glass from breaking. Excellent for use with curved glass; low profile keeps retainer inconspicuous. Use item #28530 for recessed applications when dado is 1/8" deeper than glass thickness. Use item #92289 when glass is flush. Brown plastic.

(8) Tapered Panel Retainers

They are what I ordered, but needed deeper foot part against glass, my cabs are 3\8th deep, glass 1\8th holders 1\8, witch left a 1\8th gap, reordering ones with deeper feet.

Perfect for Large Bathroom Mirrors
I have used these panel retainers to construct two large cherry bathroom mirrors. I have read a few posts where customers have had issues with the small screws. Here's what I did and I had no problems with the provided screws. (1) Drill 3/32 pilot hole, (2) Apply Rockler screw lube to screw, (3) Drive screw using #1 Phillips screw driver.

Perfect
I have had to replace most of the retainers on an armoire due to cracking and breakage. I'm very impressed with these. They not only are durable, they look neater. Ended up replacing all.

Panel retainers
Typically I would have made these out of scrap wood but I needed to finish a mirror for a customer and these were a perfect solution (mirror + masonite). These are very handy and I'll keep some around for future use.

I built a large trophy case for my nephew and had tried several other types of glass retainers, but was not comfortable with the way they held the glass in. These are very sturdy and will continue using these on other projects.

BEST ANSWER: The package contains 8 Tapered Panel Retainers and 1 Package of #4 X 5/8" round head brown screws
I need the brown glass clips. I need the part that pushes up against the glass to be just under a1/4 inch. Do you have these? Thank You
David T on Dec 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These can be sanded down by hand to exact size needed, they will also deform a bit putting positive pressure on the glass, holding it place.
I need panel retainers that are longer than what you are showing. Can you help me ?
