The easiest possible way to install solid wood edge banding – just peel and stick! No need for an expensive edge bander; bandings are impregnated with a premium 3M peel-and-stick adhesive that creates a permanent bond. The bandings are also pre-sanded and readily accept stains and finishes. Suitable for straight-line edges as well as contours. Made from premium veneers.

Features:
  • PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) Edge Banding allows you to apply edging without expensive edge banders or other tools
  • Wood edgings are made of solid hardwood veneer
  • Available in a variety of wood species – some of them difficult to find in edge bandings

I have used this product on numerous occasions and am very pleased with the results. I will continue to purchase this product. I would also like to add that I am extremely satisfied with products I have purchased from Rockler quality and reasonable pricing.

Loved loved loved this product
At first I had my doubts about a peel & stick solution. The application was easy, just peel back the paper slowly keeping the band centered on the board end. Once I had to pull it up to get it straight, fortunately I had not pressed it down hard and it reapplied beautifully. I burnished it down with the round side of my rubber sanding block and it sticks tight. Trimming the edge was a challenge at first without a proper tool. I selected a flat razor for scraping paint off windows. First I went straight at it keeping it flat on the board but kept digging into the board veneer edge. Then I got the idea to score the glue side of the band with the razor blade at about a 45 degree angle and it just snapped off easily. I sanded the edge first with a 100 grit then finished it with 220. Each step took a little "getting a feel for." My shelves look like a piece of solid wood! Great product Rockler!

Good product
This edge banding isn't perfect. But if you clean the wood surface and take your time, it should work well. Have a little bit of super glue on hand just in case there happens to be any problem here or there.

Just the ticket
Boy is this stuff handy. I was ironing on the other kind. What a pain. The peel and stick works pretty well, though it doesn't always want to stick right at the edges. Really nicely grained wood, and just the color I needed. The staff here are great. I would highly recommend them.

Peel n Stick Didnt
I had trouble with this product adhering to plywood edges that were clean and crisp
I placed edge banding on and then rolled with J roller for maximum adhesion and still the banding came loose
I noticed upon open package that banding wanted to stay in twisted state as i unrolled it
Not as good a product as i have purchased in the past

I bought cheap cabinets and now have to match up some edges. Iron on just wouldn't work in the tight spaces.

Is the wood (maple) edge banding temperature sensitive.., in other words, does ambient temperature need to be above or below certain temperatures in order to work as intended?
Mike G on Feb 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I applied the edging in the late fall in an unheated workshop probably 55-60 degrees and it worked just fine. the strip needs to be burnished on. I used a 2' piece of PVC and really got aggressive with it to make sure the adhesive buried itself into the end grains of the plywood. I had my doubts at first about how well it would work and how it would last. After finish coats the strips blended beautifully like it was solid wood only better. I've had no problem areas or coming undone. Great stuff!!
