This accessory kit is designed for use with the Rockler 1'' x 15' Band Clamp (#58432, sold separately), as well as older Rockler band clamps. The plastic boot slips over the ratcheting mechanism to help align the nylon band when you roll it up, and includes a rubber retainer strap that holds the band in a neat folded position when in storage. The boot also has a foam pad that protects your workpiece from the metal parts on the clamp mechanism. Includes four corner brackets that allow you to clamp rectangular objects more easily, and help to prevent glue from soiling the nylon strap.

(1) Rubber Band Retainer/No-Mar Pad
(4) 90° Corner Clamping Cauls

I gave these a 5... how do you use the strap without these beats me!!! Rockler should sell them with the strap. That was annoying to have to order them separately....

band clamp accessory
this does make using a band clamp more convenient because it allows the band to slip around the corners as you tighten it

Plastic clip broke on first use
I like there idea of this and love that it makes it easy to neatly wrap and store the ratchet clamp, but the plastic retaining clip snapped off on my first use. I also found the nesting corner clips are very hard to stick together to nest for storage.

Clip
The hold down clips will not fit around the metal body of the band clamp. In fact one side of the clip broke off. In my opinion, the ratchet and gear are in the way.

Retainer plastic broke off instantly
When I added the retainer clip to the clamp, it immediately broke off. Not even a single use. Pretty sad quality. I emailed customer care about it in hopes they resolve this quality issue.

Are the corners brackets flexible so as to accommodate angles greater than/less than 90 degrees?
CURT W on Jan 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Very minimally if at all. The corner brackets are made from a hard /stiff plastic material.
