With this ingenious router baseplate installed on your compact plunge router, perfectly centered mortises on the edge of your workpiece couldn't be simpler to achieve. Just rotate your router until the included guide pins contact both faces of your workpiece, then plunge and rout. The pins are positioned in threaded inserts to adapt to a range of stock thicknesses up to a maximum of 4''. If you need to cut an offset mortise, simply clamp a board equal to the thickness of the offset to one side of your workpiece. Base is pre-drilled for Bosch, Dewalt and Porter-Cable compact plunge routers (#45145, #41770 and #41766, sold separately).
