This is an accessory planing head for the Festool Planer HL 850 E-F-Plus (#61999, sold separately). It features a wavy, undulating profile with narrow spacing for creating an effect resembling extremely weathered wood, especially if the surface is brushed after planing. Working on the diagonal, or in opposing directions, creates an irregular texture that is even more rustic. The head comes complete with a durable, precision-ground HSS blade pre-installed, and cuts are clean thanks to the spiral orientation of the blade. When the time comes, blade changes are fast and easy with just three screws, and there is no need to adjust the blade protrusion. Single-blade planing head.
