To replace the plastic one that came with my kit. First time using the plastic bushing and after 9 letters, the bushing was wearing away. Tried to use my Ridgid bushing, but it has to high of a wall to use with the sign kit.

Will this unit fit The Dewalt Dw618 Router????
Az plus 1 on Oct 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can use the bushing to follow any pattern you have. It is a lot easier than using a top or bottom bearing bit unless you are flush trimming. You can use smaller bits with a big bushing to produce border designs.
What is the advantage using bushings?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: you can trace the letter then do it free hand, also this a template so it makes it easier for us non-pros, and doing it free hand you can use any bit you want YOU DIG !
Why do you use bushings?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When purchasing the templates Rockler stocks, this template is required, a standard bushing is too long or templates too thin for a standard bushing to work. This brass bushing holds up longer than the plastic bushing which comes with some templates
Will this fit on my RIDGID 5.5 Amp Corded Compact Router? Model # R24012
MESIROW on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I really not sure, since I don't have that model router.
Will ths bushing work with a Chicago 44914 trim router?
Larry R on Jun 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not that familiar with the Chicago power tools. Trim routers usually have a smaller base than a standard router which has a base about 6" or so. My guess is that it won't fit. I believe the diameter of the bushing is about 1-3/8 to 1-1/2 and if the base on your trim router has a hole about that size it may work. The sign setup is more for a full size router than a trim router.
