Found drawer glides that worked!
Our 40 year old drawer glides were shot!
These added new life to the drawers once again.
The only draw back was installing them with the existing counter top on..... it was a little more difficult than I thought but after doing one, I figured out how to do the rest more easily. Great product! Hope they give us 40 more years of service. By the way, I tried the big box stores. They didn’t have them. These were the answer! Thank you Rockler!

If the depth is a little longer than 22.5 inches can the track be extended?
A shopper on Jul 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drawer roller that rolls in the track must be supported in the track. If the drawer is shorter than the 22 inches of the drawer then I expect it would not be too much trouble to build an shelf like structure from the back of the cabinet to connect with and support the back end of the track.
Hello. I am renovating an old bedroom suite and am having trouble with the old wooden slides that are located on the bottom of each drawer. The slides are wooden in the cabinet, but the hardware located on the drawer itself are metal. The furniture is like 30 years or so old. How do I know what to replace them with?
Georjean R on Jun 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not sure exactly what you'll need but I wouldn't use these. If you are able to, I recommend you go to the actual Rockler store and speak with them. Bring some pictures and measurements with you. I tried to use these on something of a similar age/style and they gave me a lot of trouble. Remounting drawers can be a real pain.
is this a bottom mount system?
larry j on Jul 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In its essence it is a single roller extending down from the back of the drawer that rides in a rail in the cabinet that is position under the drawer space. I would NOT call the drawer roller element a bottom mount, though the whole unit might fall in that category. The benefit of this system is that it does not need any side clearance at the cabinet face. Side rollers are provided for smoother operation, but are not needed in practice. Measure and re-measure many times, cut once and locate a few screws and turn them in. It is probably as simple a drawer rail setup as exists.
How many are in a pack of item # 33589?
A shopper on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 1 single track & 2 rollers & 1 rear mount bracket
are the front mounting bracket screws drilled to the bottom of the drawer or onto the edge of the drawer frame?
George D on Mar 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There are two rollers that are attached to the opening of the cabinet. They are not attached to the drawer. The vertical sides of the drawer roll on these.
is this slide available in a 20" size?
Tom K on Jan 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The slide length can be adjusted by cutting off of the end that goes into the back wall with a hacksaw. I don't recall the size I bought but the installed length is 22". I could have cut off another two inches if it been necessary.
I have an old single tract like this but the drawer is weak can I use 2 of these to give the drawer strength or better yet can I replace it with an under drawer slider?
Jim B on Jan 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No sir, The center mount drawer guide will not work better with 2 because the failure to close smoothly is caused by the long term wear of the front rollers either being bent from too much weight or the front rollers have worn into the drawer sides from years of use . You can only replace it with a under drawer slide if it requires 3/8" clearance & the other option is to take your drawer out & cut 1/4" off the bottom edge of the drawer sides& glue a peice of 1/4" hardwood to it & it will make a big difference
"Track is zinc plated steel and 22-1/2" long" --- without a drawing (which even Knape & Vogt doesn't have on their website) this is a useless specification. Is that the total length of the track piece (*with* the front mounting tab) or the maximum inside measurement of the cabinet depth?
Tim N on Nov 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The track itself is actually 22 5/8" and that is what is printed on the bag. With the front bracket the overall length is 23 1/8".
The bottom of my drawer isn't flush with the sides, it is recessed a bit - maybe 1/8-1/4". Will this work to retrofit a center mount kitchen drawer?
debra t on Sep 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The guide wheels at the front of the drawer mount on the cross bar at the front of the cabinet. The bottom sides of drawer rides on these guide wheels. If the bottom of the drawer is higher than the sides of the drawer, you should be fine. Also, if the back of the drawer is even with the sides, mounting the rear wheel can be done according to directions. If it is recessed also, you will have to compensate for the difference height between the sides and the back of the drawer.
Can i use it on a drawer that is a 1/2 inch narrower then the opening on the cabinet?
Mike B on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The front guide wheels have a flange on the outside of each one-right and left. Measure and offset for your drawer dimensions and you should be fine.
Can I just get the roller that attaches to the back of the drawer? My existing tracks are good but several of the rollers have fallen off.
John A on Apr 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe individual parts are available separately. However, if the roller is in good shape, you can probably fix it by purchasing a small machine screw that fits in the axle hole, 2 flat washers, and 2 nuts that fit the machine screw. Insert 1 washer on the screw, place the screw through the roller then place this assembly through the bracket, place the second washer against the bracket and thread on the first nut just tight enough to let the roller turn freely. Thread the second nut until it contacts nut #1. Holding nut #1 in place, tighten nut #2- being careful to allow the roller to turn freely. I have studied my slides of this type and believe this fix would work. Hope this helps.
Can I swap out center draw slides for a more modern side or undermount type with modifications?
Loren C on Apr 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No the blind undermount drawer guides require a 1/2" clearance below drawer bottom & has to have a hole bored in back to attach the guides to drawer, & the side mount guides will not work because they require a1/2" clearance on both sides to fit drawer opening'
