Combines acoustical fabric and a stiffener for simple installations. This material combines an acoustical for fabric for great sound quality and a stiffener (1/16" thick plastic honeycomb type material) for simple installations. These customized panels are perfect for concealing any size of speaker in entertainment centers. The acoustical fabric retains excellent sound quality. The panels fit like a pane of glass and form a flat surface to hide speakers. Cuts easily to any shape. You'll receive a piece measuring 35" by 33-1/2".

used in entertainment center
I used this speak r baffle sheet for an entertainment center. One of the speaker compartments was pretty large and I was afraid that just cloth would sag. The baffle product worked great . I used some in a door an some in smaller frames. It cut easily and is stiff enough to install like you would a piece of glass.

This is a great product, that was easy to cut and install, and the price wasn't bad either. Using this product was much easier than having to stretch speaker fabric. This was installed in no time. It would have taken me 2 or 3 times longer with the traditional fabric. I would definitely use this product again. And it looks awesome. Thanks Rockler.

We just installed the Baffle Cover Sheets last week. It was perfect....I gave the info to my sound system guy back in April. We decided to try it, and he told me Friday that he will definitely be ordering more from your company. We received the Rockler's catalog from the Amish that did the cabinets for me. We were so happy with the product, easy install, and we would recommend to anyone looking to have a speaker cover in a cabinet door.

We constructed built-in units in the family room of one of our custom homes, and because of the height of the cabinet doors, we were looking for an alternative to regular speaker cloth. The speaker baffle is perfect for our application. It is a hearty material that installs easily and stands up well over the height of the cabinet door, and looks great. We intend to use this material in all similar applications.

Rockler's Speaker Baffle Cover Sheet is...
Rockler's Speaker Baffle Cover Sheet is the perfect material for hiding speakers while not altering the sound from them. The material was used in place of a solid panel in the 17 x 27 inch center door of this entertainment system cabinet. The plastic mesh backing provided an installation that was free of sagging or drooping. It is a great product that I will use again.

The material works well as a...
The material works well as a replacement for glass in an entertainment center cabinet door. The material is stiff enough so that all you have to do is install it with the same rubber strips that were used to hold the glass in place. IR signals from your remote pass through the material well, and the material also allows cooling air to pass through so that your A/V electronics in the cabinet won't overheat. My only complaint is that it appears as if Rockler attempted to fold the material first before then rolling up the material and placing it in the shipping box. As a result, there were several creases in the material. I only needed a few medium size pieces from the large sheet, and so was able to cut them out from areas that didn't have the fold lines. But if I had needed a larger piece, the material would have been worthless, because it is nearly impossible to get the creases out although I didn't experiment with using a heat gun or any other more drastic method. If you are going to order this for your project, INSIST that Rockler either ship it by first rolling the material around a 12" diameter or larger cardboard tube before boxing, or better yet, ship it completely flat.

Does this product stick?
BEST ANSWER: If the you are asking if it has adhesive on it, the answer is no. You cut the material to size and mount it in a frame, similar to mounting a piece of glass.

will these material allow free and easy air flow? I'm considering using it to replace the glass in my media cabinet doors, and am not sure if its porous enough to allow good passive air flow? Thanks
BEST ANSWER: I used this speaker baffle in an entertainment center I built. The material is very stiff which I felt would be a benefit as the speaker opening was pretty large. I think there is some air flow, better than glass. I installed it just as I would glass as it is pretty thick and stiff. I looks great and won't sag as just a speaker cloth would.

is this material paintable? (I'd like to paint it a shade of white to match furniture
BEST ANSWER: I've used this material twice for different projects that required signal for remotes. I think you should be able to paint it with paint from a spray can. However I would do lots of research to find the best paint to use before attempting to paint as this material is fairly costly.
