For added security, this heavy-duty drawer lock features a pin tumbler mechanism in lieu of discs, and the deadbolt extends a full 3/4", making it virtually impossible to jimmy. Unlike many drawer locks and cabinet locks, this model is surface mounted, meaning there is no need to mortise it into the cabinet. The perfect high security lock for securing valuables in drawers. Two keys and strike plate are provided. Keyed alike.

Great lock. A little long for 3/4 to 1” drawer front an will require making a spacer. OD of barrel makes for a very tight fit using US Customary bit diameters. Some paste wax and right clamp will aid installation.

Great Product but POOR Shipping/Delivery service.
The product is fine. Works as advertised and looks great. This shipping arrangement with the Post Office is awful. The product was delivered to my local post office on 12/10. The tracking status showed it scheduled for delivery on 12/15, which was fine. But the product was never delivered until 12/29. Meanwhile everyday when I checked the status continued to say Scheduled Delivery 12/15. Meanwhile, they just show up two weeks later than indicated on the tracking site. You guys should just stick with UPS and leave the Post Office out of it. A $ or two more for good accurate information is worth it to me. I ordered these for a job for a client. I was left not knowing if they were lost, just backed up at the post office, or what. Considered buying another pair elsewhere. Glad I didn't or I would be returning them.

Lock is nicely made and finished...
Lock is nicely made and finished but striker in the package was not as described. It comes with a solid plate style striker, not the angled one promised and shown on the instruction sheet. I consequently had to fabricate one for my application.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can and it is a great high quality lock that I installed in a Mahogany cabinet.
I already have 2 locks keyed alike, can I get 1 more keyed to the other 2? Is the number on the key what I need?

I bought two of these about 2 years ago, and another 10 about 12 years ago. All were keyed the same. So, I would assume that all of them are keyed the same. If you do have a problem, you can always return it, or take it to a good locksmith, and they can re-key it.

The specifications indicate that the strike plate is "L shaped". How is this configured/alligned?

BEST ANSWER: Thomas, I’ve Used these locks with great results where the bolt is oriented so that it slides into the jamb (like a deadbolt) the strike plate is not “L-Shaped” but simply a slotted piece of brass which should be embedded in the jamb for a snug, tamper-proof assembly. Best applied to inset doors (not Design for overlay applications. Hope that helps!

BEST ANSWER: I think it has a sealer of some sort on it because it's two years old for me and it's still as shinny as new. Plus when I applied stain to the wood it wiped right off.
Is this lock good for a drawer that you would keep something like medications in?
