The Tot-Lok is a must-have peace-of-mind accessory for any parent or grandparent. This security device is one of a kind, with powerful magnetic locks that can attach to wood, glass, metal and particleboard cabinets to provide a guaranteed safeguard from curious little hands. To open the cabinet, simply hold the magnetic key (#63172, sold separately) against the cabinet door to disengage the lock. The Tot-Lock also features a patented unlocking device that allows a disabling of the lock so cabinets can be opened without the key.

  • The lock will install on thicknesses from 1/2" (13 mm) to 1-9/16" (40 mm) and operate through wood, glass, metal and particleboard.
  • Made of hard white plastic.

Note: Magnetic Key (63172, sold separately) is required for operation.

  • 25% restocking fee on all returned merchandise.

Ideal hidden lock
I used this along with the matching key to secure my wife’s new jewelry cabinet I made for her. Now we don’t need an unsightly lock/key to mar the overall look of it. Great product, easy to install. I will definitely buy again.

Really well designed
Can't say enough good about this device. It took some time to figure how to apply it to my application, but with that out of the way, it worked very well. I would recommend for both child-proofing applications as well as hidden panel applications. Good product, priced right.

Easy to install and the locks do not show.
There are three tot-locks installed: one on each drawer at the bottom and one on the cabinet door.

I used them for child proof...
I used them for child proof locks. These were the only ones I found that the kids couldn't defeat. They are easy to install and don't deface the front of the cabinets at all. They can also be unlocked if needed very easily.

Awesome product.
Awesome item for locking cabinets. A bit pricey, though, through Rockler. Better deals can be had online.

I purchased this lock in the past and it worked well for years. I need a hidden mechanism for a project and this lock mechanism will work well for it too.

What could be cooler than an invisible key-hole with an invisible locking mechanism? The Tot-Lok Locking mechanism can even keep adults out. That's an asset.

Chose this type of lock due to it being hidden behind the door and face frame, and it ease of use. Do not need to open another cabinet door to reach in and unlock the door this item is securing. I hope it works as described.

Will your lock open with a metal object or only with you key?
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The key contains a powerful magnet, but that magnet takes up only a very small part of the key. The rest of the key is designed for ergonomics and ease of use. You could probably find another strong magnet and put it in a keychain or something like that if you so desired. Just a piece of metal would not work.
Just to be clear, you cannot see anything from outside the cabinet door, right? I'd like to use these to lock the liquor cabinets in our bar (lots of teenagers coming and going!), but I don't want to ruin the aesthetics of the bar design. Please advise.
Jo H on Aug 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Correct . . .no evidence of the lock is visible from the exterior. Everything mounts on the backside (inside) of the drawer/door. The magnetic release knob is totally separate and not easily recognizable. Any strong magnet will release the lock if held in direct contact over the location of the locking device. As with most locks, this one will only keep the honest people honest. A simple pry bar could be used to gain access.
Will this lock work with flush mounted cabinets?
Tammy M on Jun 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It should. I used them on a crib I built that had two large drawers underneath the bed that were flush with the face frame.
What are the dimensions of this lock? I want to use it in an application with limited space.
Keith on May 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Using the orientation of the picture:
From the metal tip to the back, it is 1.375" deep. From the bottom to the extended white piece, it is 1.235". With the white piece retracted, it is 1.5" tall. It is 1.2" wide.

The secondary white lock is 1.6" wide, 0.44" deep, and 0.366" tall.
Can this magnetic lock work with a drawer?
Waldo on Dec 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: IF THE DRAWER FRONT IS THIN. TO THICK AND THE MAGNET WILL NOT WORK.
How strong is this lock.? Is there a certain weight/PSI before the door comes open.?
L R on Apr 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't want to break my locks to find out how much force it actually takes to open them, but they have resisted several forceful pulls and not opened nor have they broken. I had one professionally installed in each of two nightstands and am very pleased with the amount of security they provide. I probably could have installed them myself but I wanted the work done right the first time. I highly recommend this product - don't forget to purchase the magnet.
If the drawer I want to put this on is inset, how does the piece that goes inside attach, since the drawer goes in flush with the wood around it?
Yvonne M on Apr 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Measure the thickness of the drawer, then measure that same distance in from the edge of the drawer frame. Draw a line and attach the inside piece behind that line.
