Two Cherries Parting Tools are crafted from top-quality high speed steel for optimal performance on the lathe. The tools are precision ground to give you a specific groove width. Each turning tool is fitted with a sturdy hornbeam handle that's 9-3/8'' long for leverage and stability. The blades are carefully forged and heat-treated in a salt immersion bath for a Rockwell Hardness of 61C. Due to the hardness, sharpening may take an extra few minutes, but the tool will hold an edge significantly longer than just about any other brand on the market. Made in Germany in a family run factory that's been producing quality woodworking tools since 1858.
