The Two Cherries Round Nose Side Cutting Scraper is crafted from top-quality high speed steel for optimal performance on the lathe. It features a curved nose that's ideal for finishing the bottoms of vessels, while the notched edge allows shoulder cuts and undercuts on the rims of bowls, boxes and goblets. Each scraper is fitted with a sturdy hornbeam handle that's 9-3/8'' long for leverage and stability. The blades are carefully forged and heat-treated in a salt immersion bath for a Rockwell Hardness of 61C. Due to the hardness, sharpening may take an extra few minutes, but the tool will hold an edge significantly longer than just about any other brand on the market. Made in Germany in a family run factory that's been producing quality woodworking tools since 1858.
