I built this out of cedar...
I built this out of cedar and followed the instructions meticulously - there are some tricks to assembly that aren't apparent - like the short back supports for either side near the center get anchored to the strut at the same time the inside seat brackets get anchored - with the same 3" screw(s).There was one oversight that I made - once I cut all of the pieces out on the table saw - and the curved pieces with the jig saw, I started assembly prior to rounding the edges with a router - that left sharp corners on the back slats. I confess it was a "newbie" mistake, but don't you make it.Overall a very rewarding project and I spent many evenings grilling out on the deck sitting in this thing drinking beer and entertaining guests.

Twin seat bench
I have not made this unit yet, however I have started to make the templates for the form pieces and I believe life would be better if you sent full sized templates on one side of the paper.
Othr than that issue, all looks good to me.

Overall the plan is very good....
Overall the plan is very good. There are dimension errors. Pieces C and D should be 16 3/8" not 15 1/2" as indicated on cutting list.

How are the vertical five back slats, attached to the two horizontal pieces?
Hank S on May 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Do the plans call for a “Mortise and Tenon” joint? If not what do the plans show?

It would have been helpful if they added a photograph of the back view!
Could you put rockers on the bottom?
Jerry on Apr 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You could adapt a set of rockers with ease. I had a similar thought as well as making into a glider. It would be doable as well
