This versatile dish cutter boasts two carbide wings that cut a straight edge with a rounded corner and flat bottom. Ideal for cutting hollows and recesses into shallow bowls, plates, serving trays, jewelry box trays, coasters, coin holders, spoons and lettered signs. As an added benefit, the rounded corner is easy to clean, and won't trap dust like a square corner would. Sturdy 1/2" shank.

Nice addition to our CNC bit collection
Did just what I needed it to do. Created a tooling profile for it in my CNC router, and the tray it carved out came out great.

Excellent Performance
I purchased this bit to make a salad/vegetable cutting surface using a plan from a competitor of Rockler. I used it in a fixture, and the bit did an excellent job creating an excellent surface. The surface required a slight cleanup with a curved scrapper.

is this bit recommended for handheld or table routing?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use this with a pin router. The pattern is underneath the work piece. This limits the travel for the cavity.
I think is would be difficult with a hand held or table routhe unless you added a bearing and compensated the pattern for the differences in the diameters. Hope this helps.
