Only contour tool that worked
I've been wanting a contour tool that actually worked for years. I need to check the profile of guitar necks. I found this on a youtube video where a guitar builder was using it to copy a neck profile.
Works great!

door tread
Saved me a lot of wasted time making cardboard cut outs. also the door frame was not square to the wall. Typical in a house over 100 years old

This is a much better than my old one. I like the heft, the magnets and thin strips along with the tension that holds the strips from moving without pressure on them. My old one never was tight.

I previously used a metal Contour Gage which did not work well most of the time, this works great and is much easier to use.

Have an old house, not always perfect. This gets those little spots that aren't straight AND decorative.

You left off the only important spec, the depth. Reviews list it as 2+ inches, 1 13/4, 1.25", and "not much." What is it?
dASDADSASD on Jul 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Since that is an important spec. for you, let me give you measurement with my Starrett caliper.
Depth- trial 1) 1.2500 inches, trial 2) 1.2505 inches, trial 3) 1.2490 inches. I hope this answers your question.
