Very handy!
If you need a hinge that will move a panel out and off to the side when you open the door then this is a good one. Adjustments are a little clunky and it takes some trial and error to get it just right. Once installed correctly though you can expect it to move the door panel fully out of the way and function smoothly.

Heavy duty hinge
Used these to replace some older hinges that broke. Larger and much more sturdy than those replaced. Excellent product.

For my application I needed clearance for an extended edge on the door and it worked great but I was more impressed with the transverse rigidity in full extension.

Hard to find, and perfect.
I used to be able to get this type of hinge in the big box hardware stores, but the last few years they've gotten really bad. I needed a hinge to mount a sunken door that needed to clear the edges of the 3/4" frame when opened. This worked perfectly. It was great that Rockler included the actual hinge dimensions so I could make sure it fit before ordering. Most websites list the "package dimensions" which is useful for shipping and useless for installing.

What is the weight capacity for a pair of hinges and how much more weight can each additional hinge support?
BEST ANSWER: I cannot give a answer as to the actual weight. Weight is not the only consideration. For a normal kitchen cabinet door two is adequate weight wise. For a longer door three would reduce the risk of bowing. I made a solid oak door 60 in x 26 in and I used four of these hinges. The door was put in place, shimmed to the correct heigth, and then the mounting holes in the frame were marked and drilled. When I hung the door it sagged - less than 1/16 in. I believe due to the play in the pivot of the hinge. I never weighed the door. There is adjustment in the hinge for height but next time I would drill the holes higher instead of centered in the slot. The hinges are good and I would recommend them.

175 fully concealed hinges used in a full insert application, what adjustments are possible?
BEST ANSWER: there is no fine tune adjustment on these hinges, for a full inset door you should use 35mm full inset hinges because they have adjustments in & out, up & down.

If I am creating a 3/4 inch maple door that is 6" wide and about 7 ft tall -- an opening between two tall pantries for storing brooms and mops -- how many of these hinges would I need?
BEST ANSWER: if only 6" wide, I would probably only use 2 hinges.
My application was for glass doors with 2 x 3/4" frames, 4'ft tall by 22" wide, and I used 3 hinges on each door.

What is the weight load for this hinge and can multiple hinges be used to increase the weight load?
I have inset cabinet doors that need to swing completely past the face frame so that drawers that are the entire width of the cabinet can slide out. Will these work?
BEST ANSWER: The doors swing out of the way, but you must position the drawers such that the hinges are not in their path.

How much of a gap between cabinets and doors needs to be allowed for?
BEST ANSWER: I left 1/16 on hinge side and it was plenty. I had flush doors. You should get the hinges and experiment before you build.

will this hinge work for stairs? the riser is stationary and the actual step would fold up. but i dont want the hinge visible or a large gap.
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but I don't recommend this hinge. Its a big beefy hinge, but it has a lot of play in it because of all the moving parts only to be made worse by the fact that it also has very little adjustability. If you mount it a little off, then you're stuck with a little off. From an architect's take, I would make sure you have something mounted on the inside of the tread that will keep the tread from sliding forward in case the screws tear out, which is likely given their threads and length.

What size screws work with this hinge? Or the size of the mounting holes. I will need to replace the screw with metric machine screws for my application and am wondering if M3, M4, or M6 screws will work?
BEST ANSWER: I do not deal with Rockler anymore because they do not stand behind their products. Be wary of “Rockler” branded products which appear to be made at some low cost production site without quality control measures. Rocker is more concerned with their policies than standing behind these products.

My doors are 3/4" inset with no face frame and with applied 1/2" thick trim around the edges. Will these hinges allow the doors to be opened without hitting the cabinet?
BEST ANSWER: It will clear the door, however it will not clear the added trim. If you make your trim an applied molding 3/4" or greater away from the door edge it will work otherwise you will need a hinge to accommodate essentially a 1 1/4" inset.

will inset doors clear opening if opened at 90 degrees?
BEST ANSWER: If you mount them properly as per instructions , they are multi functional hinges. They do take a fair amount of space.I used scrap pieces to check the alignment, this saves a headache later.

Is #66613 a 2 hinge set?
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there are two hinges per set complete with screws. They work very well. I bought two sets for the two doors on my entertainment center doors which I replaced the supplied hinges, and now I can open them wide to see the new flat screen TV I bought. They are very well constructed and heavy duty.

I have frameless cabinets with back to back full overlay doors (1/2" thick doors). Will the motion clear the adjacent cabinet door? The reveal between doors is about 1/8".
Would these hinges work for a 3/8 inset door on a face frame?
BEST ANSWER: I do not think that these would work for frame construction. As in the picture there is no frame. Possibly if the side of the cabinet was built out to to the edge of the frame where the hinge would mount. I would just buy hinges made for face frame cabinets.

What is the maximum door thickness supported by this hinge?
BEST ANSWER: I have a 5/8" door. The door thickness is restricted when the hinge closes because the two ends come together. I would say max 3/4" door.
Note when the door is hung off the hinge, there is some slight sag in the hinge, so mount the door part slightly higher to compensate.
