Some care required to allow the tool to cool off if sanding aggressively. Too much heat melts the foam base.

what is the difference between the 2" head and the 2" replacement head' can u use the replacement head without buying the head

BEST ANSWER: Not sure as I use the replacement head with a hand drill and not the original handle.

I usually use it with Foredom Flex Shaft for sanding curved surfaces.
