Rockler FlexForm™ Dust Collection Hose - 4'' Diameter

Twists, bends, expands, and collapses to desired shape.
Item #
84% of 100

Introducing a brand new approach to dust collection! A unique, segmented design allows FlexForm Hose to twist, bend, expand and/or collapse to a desired shape and length, then firmly hold that position - resulting in virtually unlimited versatility. This ability to bend around obstacles, expand or contract to perfectly fit a given space, and maintain its shape makes FlexForm Hose ideal for tight spots and tricky dust collection applications where conventional hose just won't work. You'll find countless ways to use this clever product. In addition, this hose expands to three times its collapsed length, from approximately 12" to 36". Also available in 2-1/2" diameter (#29996 Sold Separately).

Works for me
I saw a photo from another Rockler customer that used this to connect his DeWalt surface planer to a Rockler dust collection bag. I thought that was a pretty sharp idea so I bought both this 4" tubing and the dust collector bag and they work great.

Works well
I needed a 4 inch vacuum hose that would hold it's shape well because the tool is mobile so a floppy or loose hose my hook on things or etc.. I have heard stories of that happening to people causing the tool to fall over while moving it resulting in serious and expensive damage. This turned out to be perfect. It tucks in tight and holds it's shape, where I put it, very well.
Connected the two vacuum ports on the Rikon 14" Professional 10-353 Bandsae

The perfect tube
The flex tube works great!! I connected it to my 2 stage dust collection hose and it sits in a bracket over whatever I’m turning. I can easily move it anywhere I want in order to keep those fine dust particles away from my face.

Great with the 4” to 2-1/4” hose adaptor for connecting table saw to shopvac
I connected this to the 4” dust port on my Ridgid R4512 hybrid table saw and then used the Rockler Hose AdaptorItem #20871 to connect it all to my Ridgid shopvac. Works great to collect dust out of my table saw.

Woodworking Experience:
Steps up my dust collection another notch.
I use these 4” FlexForm hoses on my band saw and 1x42” belt sander for point of use collection since most of these tools have woefully inadequate dust collection. I wish that these hoses were stiffer and would stay put on their own better. Still, they are 100% better than a piece of 4” hose. I will definitely be ordering more FlexForm hoses for my drill press and router table.

It stays where you flex it and suction on does not cause movement.

Rob L on Aug 12, 2015
Needed a flexible hose that would stay in position to attach to a Rigid r4512 table saw. Due to the caster assembly in the base of the saw, space is too limited to just put an adapter onto the dust port.

Because my DCS is parked right next to the stairs, and the huge Y inlet connector is already a tripping hazard. At least with this thing, I'll be able to route it to a safer location.

Baz D on Oct 30, 2016
Hello. I am looking for a rigid but flexible hose that will lengthen when stretched yet collapse back down to original length. I don't want it to stay conformed to the stretched length but when collapsed I don't want it to "hang down". So I guess it is a fine balance to be able to stretch with enough rigidity to spring back but not flexible that it would sag. I am not using this for a dust collection system. I am working on an invention and am trying to build a prototype. Do you think either of the hoses would fit my need? Do you know if there are any videos of the hoses in action?

is the 4" dimension OD or ID?
Dale P on Apr 20, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hose size is measured inside Diameter.... with refrigerant hose being the exception.
Can I get this in 20 ft lengths?
sandy troy on Jan 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would not recommend going with a length of this hose for 20 ft. The flexible expandable type is a better fit for anything over 3-4 feet in length. The Flex-Form is not strong or durable.
cut this hose be cut into shorter lengths?
gordo on Jan 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have cut it down for different situations. It also compresses and expands to adjust length.
what is the temperature rating of this dust collection hose?
derek b on Apr 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This hose is not rated for use in situation of heat, such as a dryer hose. It is for dust collection purposes only.
