Excellent quality performance on multiple different hardwoods.
I have made over 40 dovetail drawers with this bit, it consistently gives top quality performance. I will buy another when needed.

broke it before I could use it....
I agree. Why not just use a 1/2 inch bit? I had to destroy it removing from the collet doing a test fitting. Very difficult to get into the collet.

    Strange size bit
I purchased this bit because I destroyed the original, that came with the jig, trying to get it out of the 8mm to 1/2 in bushing. This one jammed in the bushing as well, but I got it out after much struggle. I think the 8mm to 1/2 system is not a good one. Why not just offer 1/2 inch router bits with the jig? When trying to insert the bit + bushing in the 1/2 router collet, the bushing kept on slipping to the bottom of the collet. I think this system introduces too many, unnecessary parts. There are better options available.

I was suppposed to receive 2 of these router bits because the first bit that came with the dovetail jig broke and I bought a new one from Rockler. After the second one broke, I spoke with customer service and I was informed that these bits are guaranteed for life and that they would be replaced. I only received one bit and I was promised 2. Please send me the one that you owe me with this order.

I have 2 routers - both with 1/4" collet. OnE is a Dewalt DWP611. This jig notes the need for a 1/2" collet. What do you recommend? And, another router is not an option.
    Jay W on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If another router (with 1/2" collet) isn't your option, there is no recommendation for you. Your 8 mm bit will not fit 1/4" router collet. Looks like you have to get a router with 1/2" collet.
are the dove tail router bit angles all the same angle?
    A shopper on Apr 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There are three router bits for this jig. The 14 degree dovetail bit is for the half blind dovetails and the other two bits (8 degree dovetail and a straight bit) are for the through dovetail. They work with the provided templates.
