angle restriction clip
Arrived quickly. It works like a charm. The clip does not fit the Inserta hinge that has the expanding pads. It does fit the Inserta that has the cams that fit into the screw holes.

This solution is better than having little rubber clear dots on the cabinet door handles, on the cabinet doors, on wood trim, etc. to prevent the cabinet doors from hitting things we don't want them to hit. Easy to install and work very well.

Needed to limit the angle of cabinet door openings to keep them from hitting other doors and apron front sink.

These did not perform well. I purchased some of these locally which were made of metal. They were much easier to install because they did not deform during installation. Yours were a waste of money!

Wondering if these will fit the Blum hinges that IKEA sells? The IKEA hinges say 125 degrees, but the Blum website doesn't even list that as a hinge that Blum makes so I'm curious how to track down a restrictor clip for the hinges I have! Thanks!
E J on Aug 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It should work with any Blum 110 degree and higher according to the instruction manual. "NOTE: For use with all CLIP top 110° and 110°+ hinges (this includes CLIP top BLUMOTION)"
I have a pantry cabinet right beside a wall. The pantry has roll out trays so the door needs to swing open a full 90 degrees. If it only opens 86 degrees it will restrict the ability of the trays to slide out. Are these restrictor clips adjustable? ie can I take a file and remove a bit of plastic from the restriction clip so the door swings open 90 degrees vs only 86 or 87 degrees. (the few degrees make a difference at the end of a 24" door). Anyone with experience with this?
Harold M on Apr 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Harold, Yes you can trim the cli, however buy a couple extra because it's trial and error.
how many in a pack?
frank M on Apr 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Two
Will these keep the door from closing pass 90 degrees?
George K on Jul 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not sure what you are asking but these clips restrict the door angle in the open position to 90 degrees especially in a corner or in situations you might have cabinets that are different depths very useful to a cabinetmaker I always try to keep some on hand hope this helps
Will this clip work on any soft-close hinge?
Florence M on Mar 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes - those are for the Blum frameless soft close hinges. If you have a framed cabinet and soft close Blum hinges you need a different model number. They make a restrictor for those as well.
I have 3 and 4 hinge cabinet doors how many hinge restrictiors should I use per door?
Robyn on Aug 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would use one per hinge. It is probably possible to use fewer but in my view that is not the design intent.
Do these work with IKEA hinges which are made by Blum?
scottyvnc on Jun 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The clip does not work with the Ikea Utrusta hinge, which is a Blum Inserta hinge.
how on earth does one install these? i was told we could install without removing doors but don't see anywhere to attach them.
bettina on Mar 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These are great and work with European style hinges where you install the recessed part into the door and the plate part on the cabinet wall or frame. You then just clip the door to the cabinet piece when installing. Now to attach these pieces, you have to unclip the door from the cabinet and with the door separate, push the arm piece that attaches to the cabinet so it is in the close position. These clips just clip in behind that hinge. The small "rolled fingers" go over the hinge pin and the flat part sits flush with the piece that is set into the door, completing the outer circle. There might be a Youtube video out there. To install these without removing the doors means you have to stand inside the cabinet which is usually impossible to do. It is really very easy to install.
I can't tell from the website if this includes the two restrictors shown or just one?
John S on Dec 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: each pack contains two
Have hinges that say Kraftmaid (cabinet brand) and Blum-not soft closing hinges. Will these work?
Mike F on Jan 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t know but my hunch is the blu/motion hinge is the key and not the cabinet.
Is there a Hinge restricter for Blum 38c355?
Christopher M on Nov 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know for sure. But if the base plate has the same dimensions as the typical blum hinges, the standard restrictor should work.
