Fisch = BEST
best drill bits I have ever bought. You pay for it but the cut is perfect. Be warned bits are very sharp, and this includes the side edges, use caution when setting your drill press up.

Great Drill Bit!
These are sooooo much better than standard brad point or split point bits. They drill end grain wood with way less heat build-up and the flutes seem to just pull the waste right out. Ditto on Acrylic.

Fisch worth catching
Fisch bits are my go to bits for penmaking, a little tough to find, Rockler seems to have a pretty good selection

Not the best bit if used in a drill press
This bit because of the high sprial flutes should be used only in a lathe. If you must use a drill press then clamp down the fixture.

Need to drill deep holes (4.5" deep), is there a chart for the cutting lengths of these bits?
Scott M on Aug 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Drilling as deep as 5" may require a bit extension
