Although not a perfect fit, none of the other places I checked had anything this close. Also, the sales associate was very helpful and walked me through a good way of 'fitting' the hinge plates correctly. Nice store.

Hinges are good quality
These hinges are of good quality but not quite as heavy as others that cost more. It just depends on your particular needs.

Snapped two of those cheap screws in my work piece & had to drill one out . Really cheap, almost damaged my desk top. Threw out two packs & bought quality hinges.

A woodworker had made a table for me and one of the hinges wasn't right. He's no longer available and so I was fortunate to find exactly what was needed on your website.

I need to know how to calculate the size hinge I need for a box side 3/4' thick?
Tim S on Oct 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There are a lot of 'what ifs' in your question. If it is a small box and the lid is let's say no more than 10x20", you can get away with a 1-1/2" x 2" hinge; the hinge would run lengthwise with 3/4" on each side of swivel. If the box is bigger, let's say 3' x2', you would need a sturdier hinge of 2" by 3" wiith one inch on each side of the swivel. When sitting the hinge be sure only to notch out the space on one side as if you notch both sides, there's a possibility that the hinge will bind.
I want to place hinges on two heavy 4'x8' floor boards but have only limited mounting area. What type of hinge should I use?
