Worked great
I used this to cut a slot in a table top to install T-molding. It worked very well and was exactly the right size.

Cutting off box tops
I built a few jewelry boxes for Christmas and got ahead of myself. Sanded and stained... It was then I remembered, or rather forgot, to cut the top off. This little Gem saved my Christmas and I love that it was small enough to save the grain I was working with. Maple and Cedar.

Slot Cutting Bit 1/16"
Perfect. Just the bit I've been looking for to cut slot in bases for weaving baskets. Sharp, no vibration. At first I thought I might be better off with a 1/2" shank, but once I saw the price I decided to try a 1/4" shank. Works great.

The slot cutter worked well for the pine I was using. We'll see how well it holds up over time.

Slot cutter
Doesn't hold up well in maple. A lot of smoke and pitch deposited on cutter after a few passes. This may be fine for pine or other soft woods but it didn't do well for me using maple. On one other note not related to the product, the shipping process is too drawn out. Why can't Rockler ship direct with UPS or USPS instead of using the UPS-USPS hybrid model. The product literally went by my house twice, once each way before it brought by out by the PO.

Trying to figure out slot for cribbage peg storrage...2 inch dia mean it will cut a 2 inch slot ?
Scott W on May 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Do you mean 2" depth?? No, 2" is the overall diameter, the depth is stopped by the bearing, less that an inch, this is really good for the slot needed for edge banding
T molding requires a 1/4 inch slot, why is this recommended since it cuts a 1/2 inch slot. Is that better? What about a 3/8 inch slot?
Dan F on Oct 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Dan, To reduce the depth of cut just increase the bearing size.
I want to use for cribbage peg storage. What is the diameter of the bearing?
Jerry W on Feb 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: 22mm is the diameter of he bearing
I already have two Rockler arbor/bearing sets; I am just looking to fill in some missing width cutters. Can I buy just the blade? -- can't find them at rockler online.
