Mill tenons of any length! Simply remove the top portion of the cutter (including bearing and spindle) to produce the front of the long tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons or bridle joints. These precise bits work for any door 5/8" to 1-1/4" thick. Unique cutter geometry virtually eliminates tearout. Adjustable shims enable a tight fit when using plywood and also allow use with thick panels from 7/32" to 1/4" thick. High-density carbide composition and Perma-Shield® coating lengthen bit life and protect against heat and pitch build-up. 1/2" shanks.

High Quality
Mentoring with a neighbor who has the lead on my project - we thought that this bit would be needed to add some nice detail to the cabinet for the Murphy Bed Project. We ran a test on scrap and yes it will do the trick. I decided to go this path using Freud, past experience with a Freud Table Saw blade gave me confidence that their products are worth the price, and Freud it worth it.

Quality bits
I used this set to build an entire set of kitchen cabinets. My first set of frame and panel doors. I love Freud bits and these worked flawlessly. Easy set up and great cut quality.

Very high quality
I have used the Sears/internet special bits. I have also read other reviews that state some of the cheaper bits are just as good as the freud. That's just not true. You get what you pay for. These bets produce a flawless cut and finish. No sanding needed ready to go right to sealer and top coat.

Why did you choose this?
Rockler Store
I would've chosen a Rockler Bit, because Freud tends to be pricey - But I could not find a comparable Rockler bit. But - I know Freud is a solid go to brand that is spot on....

This looked like a good design to go with my kitchen. I didn't want the "standard" design you see on most other doors. This is a clean and simple look.

Rockler doesn't make the same Stile & Rail set or I would have bought it.
