which bit works best for rounding over a new 3/4 in. table top,,oak?
Mike H on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what you want for a finish product. Do you want a total round edge or just the corners rounded to soften them. I just wanting to soften the edge and maintain some dimension a quarter round (Maybe 1/4r) worked from each side will give a flat soft edge with soft corners. They also have the advantage of not requiring a router table to use them. The half round really needs a router table or equivalent to guide the work through without gouges or wandering.
Can this be used on plastic?
