Buy this!
Perfect! At Woody’s recommendation I bought this size as I can round one edge or, if wanted, round top and bottom to make a near perfect full round nose. Used it on a Baltic birch cabinet and shelf without chipping or burning. Beautiful and smooth edge.

Excellent Bit
Large, very well made router bit. Cuts exceedingly well and very clean. It is a bit pricey but well worth the cost.

Creating small round overs on shelves and some cabinet tops makes the job look more professional. It doesn't take away much shelf space and removes sharp corners.

Already own a selection of Freud router bits but needed the 1/2 inch to complete my set of rounding over bits. Would not own any other bits except Freud.

What speed should a 3/4 inch roundover bit run at?
carl z on Mar 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As fast as it will go without burning the wood. The variable is the wood type you are using. Start full speed on a sample and reduce the speed if burns. Note that pauses in the feedrate will usually cause burning so make your judgement from areas where the federate was consistent. The Quad may improve the finish but otherwise its use is the same as a two flute bit.
how do you tell the radius of the round over bit?
Bob G on Jan 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's usually stamped on the shank. Hard to tell if the bit has slipped and the markings are worn off. Then I would make a cut and use a drafting circle template to measure
I need to cut a 2" dowel rod for a custom railing. Is there a 2" half round or 1" quarter round that I could cut a full 2" dowel from? Making 2 or four passes?
