I was concerned that the product might not adjust to the rounded glass sides of my curio cabinet, but they were easily manipulated into place. Do not use the plastic glass retainers . . . they will not last or hold glass that is very heavy. These look beautiful and fit perfectly into the various sections needed.
Using these retainers for removable panels in the doors to an entertainment center. The retainers are sturdy, easy to install, and adjust over a wide range, allowing me to use speaker grills, bubble glass, or wood panels to conceal the entertainment equipment, and yet make for a variety of appearances for the cabinets enclosing the equipment.
We were redoing our kitchen and needed to replace the old clips that had been painted over previously. The new clips screwed into the holes left from the old clips. Turning the thumb screws holds the glass very well. The best part is these clips allows for different thickness of glass. They look great and work very well.
The adjustability of the glass retainers worked out for deep rabbet I used on my entainment center doors. The bronze color matched well with the black walnut. Rockler response time was excellent as well.
I had tried plastic retainer clips, but they are hard to find and they get brittle and break so the glass falls out. These glass retainers are easy to install and they work perfectly. They are very high quality. I have already recommended Rockler products to my wood worker friends.
Just the thing! Exactly what I needed to install new side glass in my antique curio cabinet. Bronze color is unobtrusive and the adjustable screws hold the glass firmly, yet the glass can be easily removed if neccessary. Rocker ROCKS!
Had a wood entertainment system with 4 doors with inlaid panels. Removed panels and replaced with tempered, frosted glass in order for my remotes to work with electronics. Initially attmpted to use "slide sets" but without much success. The glass retainer from Rockler did the trick. Excellent job, no rattle and tightly secured. Very professional looking. Thanks Rockler.
This retainer worked great to put the mirrors in the hall bench. It would be nice if the web site said how many comes in a pack!Editor's note: pack quantity is listed on the "more info" page of this offer.
These glass retainers work very well as replacements for the cheaper plastic ones that came with my cabinet. They hold large panels (20" x 26") nice and tight. The adjustable thumb screws are comfortable and work well. If you need glass retainer clips that hold well, get these.
I was shopping at the Rockler store for the #26884 glass clips. I also found these glass clips, an alternative design that looked "cool" so I also bought a package of these to play with. With the long adjustable screw, this clip gives you more adjustment capability than the #26884 clips design using interchangeable rubber bumpers. There are only 4 clips in a package, however, and for a long or larger glass panel I would use 6 clips. It would be nice if there were 6 clips in a package.
