Hybridz pen blanks are hand-formed from Australian Mallee Burl and an opaque-colored resin that permeates the burl for a unique marbled appearance. These use a black resin, but because of the natural burl, no two blanks are alike. They are cast under high pressure, which helps the resin penetrate the pores in the burl, resulting in a stable blank with minimal voids. Thanks to the chip-resistant resin, the blanks are quite easy to turn. For best results, finish with CA glue.
Note: As with most burls, some small voids may need to be filled with CA glue.
