iVac Pro Switch Wireless Dust Collection Controller System

Eliminate the unsafe distraction of turning on and off your dust collection system while you're operating a shop tool! The iVac Pro consists of two main components, the Pro Switch and the Pro Tool (Sold Separately), in your choice of 240V or 115V. A complete iVac Pro System gives you wireless control of your dust collection system, automatically turning it on/off every time you turn on/off one of your shop tools. Here is how it works: plug your dust collection system into a Pro Switch. Now add a Pro Tool for every shop tool you want to automatically activate your dust collection system. One Pro Switch can accommodate up to 8 Pro Tools, as long as they are within the 40' radio frequency range, making it possible to run your dust collection system only when you run your tools! And running more than one tool at the same time won't cause interference; the Pro Switch won't turn your dust collection system off until the last Pro Tool in your system is shut off. You can even program your Pro Switch to run a little longer than your tool to allow for dust clearance. So get started today by selecting a Pro Switch in 240V or 115V and adding up to 8 Pro Tools.

Features:
  • Automatically turns your dust collection system on or off
  • Connects to any wall outlet and provides an outlet for your dust collection system
  • iVac Pro Tool connects to any wall outlet and provides an outlet for a shop tool
  • The iVac Pro Switch and Tool each have a three-position mode switch: Auto/Off/On
  • 40' line-of-sight range between the iVac Pro Switch and iVac Pro Tool boxes
  • Boxes are wall mountable
  • ETL safety approved - conforms to UL STD 244A and SCA STDC22.2 No. 14
  • 20 amp plug end configuration
    • IVac Pro System Boxes are built to handle the amperage advertised, however, both the UL (American) and CSA (Canadian) safety approval agencies require the boxes to be labeled at 80% of their actual amperage capacity due to the fact that the units have an attached power supply cord. Example - The 115 Volt / 20 Amp box is labeled as only 16 amps, however the box will actually continuously handle 20 amp AC mains.
    • Configuration for plug end is 20 amp.

Absolutely love the product! Works as described. Not complicated or frustrating. I bought the switch and tool plus for my miter saw. Had everything up and running in 15 minutes. Ten minutes later I ordered another tool plus for my table saw and the remote for small tool work station. I will be implementing the auto blast gates next. 5 Stars!

Oh! what a relief it is. That is not to have to do all the back and forth to turn your dust clollector on and off. Easy set up and operation. This is a well made product and a fine addition to your shop. If for not other reason than convenience.

    Wonderful idea!
The convenience of not having to run over to your dust collector to turn it on or off each you use a tool, makes these worth the price--especially if you have multiple tools on the same dust collector. The product seems well made and so far have had no problems with it.

    ivac switch + remote
I purchased the switch for use with the remote controller. The switch itself appears to be of robust and solid construction. The remote controller i s not so well designed ergonimically, nor is it easy to use. The on and off buttons are nor very visually distinguishable. I used red and green ink markers to highlight the buttons. Also, there is nothing to indicate the switch or controller has been activated, other than the motor noise on the device being controlled. An audio or led signal would be appreciated.

    not standard plug
It would have been nice if somewhere it said that you could not use a standard plug couldn't use it right away cause I had to change my plug to one that fits.

    I returned it
I wanted a remote control for my dust collector. This device doesn't do that. It turned out that it was useless by itself. It requires other purchases which the store did not have. I suspect that Rockler does not know what this device does either. The store employees didn't.
I gave one star for that reason. It probably does just fine for what it does.

I have a saw on 220 and dust collector on 110 which one do I need?
    Gary H on Mar 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You need the 110 volt iVac switch. The controllers have no voltage classification as they clamp to the tool's power cord and sense the magnetism generated in the power cord when the tool is turned on. The controller then signals the switch to turn on. So the controller works for any tool, 110 volt or 220 volt.
I have 8 different tools, all 110 v., connected to my dust collector, what all do I need to hook up everything to the iVac system? I don't have any automatic system on it now. Do I need a switch on each machine or what all do I need?

iVac Pro Tool Plus Wireless Dust Collection Controller System
iVac Pro Tool Plus Wireless Dust Collection Controller System
BEST ANSWER: You need one Pro Switch to which your dust collector is plugged into. Then you need one Pro Tool Plus for each tool. You plug the tool into this device. I would strongly recommend that you consider getting the wireless gates for those tools that are used the most. This allows the dust gate to automatically open when you turn on the tool. Turning on the tool also automatically turns on the dust collector. You do not need the gates for the system to turn on the dust collector. I love this system. I don't know how I went for so many years without it.
Does the Ivac pro switcher come with a remote control?
    Gary A on Feb 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: When I purchased a year ago, it did not come with the remote. You don't really need it if you purchase a separate Ivac "Tool" for each tool you had to the system. I have different machines hooked up to the system. A beautiful design allows the dust collector to run for a seconds after you turn off your machine.
How does it work for chop saws?
    Gordon U on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It works great for chopsaws. Vacuum goes off approximately 50 seconds after you make your last cut. Therefore it stays on through the majority of the time you're making repetitive cuts on the saw. Hopefully, this helps.
can we just use this as a remote switch for the dust collector without tieing in other machines?
    Janice S on Jun 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, With a iVac Switch and a iVac Remote you can operate your dust collector. Mark
A competitor and the company say there is a 15A plug converter included in the box. Did your's come with an adaptor for a standard 110 plug?

I have a band saw which runs on 220v, I also have a dust collection system which runs on 110v, will this automatic switch work with my set up?
    Michaellipski on Mar 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sounds like our shop. Our vac is on 110, the various saws and planers and routers are a mix of 110 and 220 and it's all working. Installed a year ago.
My dust collector is 3-hp at 220-volts. So will this product serve my needs? I'm replacing a Shop Fox with both remotes inop.
    Richard F on Nov 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes they are the greatest invention ever. I don't have to remember to turn on the dust collector anymore and i don't have to yell at my workers about not doing it either. I have 1 240v and 2 120v and they all work off the same 120v controller.
I ordered the 115V 20A model but due to the plug configuration it does not plug into my wall outlet and I cannot find adapters for it. What do you suggest?
    Dsvid J on Aug 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I to found out the hard way when the item arrived and I saw what style plug it was. I went down to my Home Depot and found the right plug and switched the normal one for that style, then so I didn't have a second plug that couldn't be used I cut off the end of a extension cord that I was going to plug into it any ways. Kind of a pain in the but to have to go thru all of this. Why cant they make it the right style cord to begin with?
does the remote switch come with the unit. Your ad shows that it does not come with it.? I am talking about the litttle "BOB"

I currently have the "Long Ranger" multi-switch system where each gate has a wired switch that turns on the dust collector when the gate is opened. If I replace some of the gates with the iVAC Pro 4" blast gate, the Tool Plus, and the Pro Switch, will the other gates still work?

iVac Pro Tool Plus Wireless Dust Collection Controller System
iVac Pro Tool Plus Wireless Dust Collection Controller System
BEST ANSWER: Not exactly clear what you mean but if you were trying to run these both off the same collector they may not work together because the ivac essentially relies on the collector to be switched on and controls the power outlet it is plugged into. Not really knowing how the long ranger works, perhaps you could use it with another tool unit so it would trigger the ivac switch. Talk to the guys at ivac, they should be able to help you integrate with your existing system.
Will the 240 V version still function properly on low voltage? I have 3 phase power, so my single phase is nominally 208V (my single phase motor is rated for the range, no boost transformer needed).
