Large Toggle Clamp Foot
Large Toggle Clamp Foot
These oversized clamping feet provide broader, more stable clamping pressure and eliminate the risk of marring - even on soft woods like pine. Swivel-action 1-5/8" diameter foot works great for clamping angled stock. Available in two stud lengths. The extra-long 6" foot is ideal for use on a miter gauge or wherever extended reach is needed. Includes nuts and washers. Clamps sold separately.

Features:
  • Standard 5/16"-18 TPI stud size works with most existing toggle clamps
  • Foot has an overall diameter of 1-5/8", with a soft clamping pad that measures 1-3/8" in diameter
  • Works great for pocket hole assembly jigs

Works fine but things but things are not as tight the farther the clamp is from the work.

Oops!
I thought "large" meant length not width. My bad. My clamps require 1/4" bolt width and this is 5/16". I'm going to try modify the clamp opening with a 5/16" drill bit then tap it. If that doesn't work, I'll buy a 5/16" clamp. One way or another, I'll use it.

I bought this clamp foot to...
I bought this clamp foot to use on a shop made panel cutting jig for the table saw. It allows me to mount the toggle clamp on the fence that is part of the jig and then clamp any thickness of board in the jig while I saw it. Works perfectly.

Take care when using these 6" clamps
These are sufficiently long to use them on tall stands. They can be set to lock down 5 1/2" boards and still be able to reach down to hold very thin boards on jigs. However the extended length can and will swing back if you are not careful to note how far back it goes before you begin to use it.

Does not fit
Ordered these for the Rockler Auto-Lock T-Track hold down clamp which I ordered at the same time. Imagine my surprise when they were a different thread from the clamp. I received credit with no problem and recently discovered that the clamps from a child/pet door would do the trick.

I purchased the Large Toggle Clamp Foot to provide a larger clamping area, more friction and hopefully less chance of pressure damage to soft woods.

Does the rubber foot on the bottom come off? I need to put on a 7" bolt.
Edward M on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. The bolt is attached (glued?) to a ball which fits into a recess in the rubber foot. It is kind of like a hip joint with the bolt playing the role of the femur. I just had a look and there is no obvious way to remove the rubber foot.
Do these clamp fit my Kreg K3 jig clamp follower?
