Very robust
The 600 lb. load rating was certainly not necessary, since it's onlya lazy susan, but it sure is well built. I needed the large diameter for a 36" circle.Smooth rotation, good machine work.

Pricey but worthwhile in the right application.
Works great for large circles. I used one for a workshop parts bins application into an inside corner countertop area. Its weight rating is very hefty too.

Excellent
I own a Ekornes recliner chair. Anyone that has one knows they are of high quality and a beautiful chair. However anyone who owns ones knows their swivel design is not smooth and it forces you to push yourself around. Searching for a solution I found this beauty of an alternative. Given it's 600 LB weight ability I figured it would work on my chair. It took some altering as the size is close but I can tell you I swing around with the touch of a finger! Excellent product! Thanks

I used this under a 50...
I used this under a 50 inch Sony tv in order to rotate it for access to the back (inside a cabinet). The swivel is performing as I had planned. The product arrived on time and in good condition.

We used the Extra-Large Aluminum Swivel...
We used the Extra-Large Aluminum Swivel under a dollhouse that was built in the 1920's. The dollhouse was built for my mother's 6th birthday. She is now 88. It is a very large dollhouse and the swivel permits my mom to turn the dollhouse around to decorate the back of the house. She decorates it for all the major holidays. The swivel was the perfect size. It worked out better than we expected.

Disappointed in construction
I have not yet used it for the purpose it was purchased. When inspecting it after delivery it became apartment there is no bearing cage. By creating friction with the bearing in front of, and behind, it each beating inhibits easy rotation. I was disappointed in how much effort is required to turn it. For the expense, I would not recommend it.

An in-store sales assistant (A very attentive woman who REALLY knew her stuff!!) referred me to your website and provided the model number of this item. This was at your store "Rockler 33" in Portland, ME. Please make note that you have GREAT staff at that store.

Hi, will your largest lazy susan turntable bearing work with a 48 inch diameter top? It is my understanding that you don't carry 30 inch turntable bearings. Thanks, Robin
Robin L on Dec 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We've used a 30" bearing with a 36" top which was fine. Not sure about how it will work with a 48" top. I think you'd have to be careful about making certain to balance out the items along the edge carefully so that it doesnt tip (and drag) to one side. Good luck!
How can I attach lazy susan hardware to a granite piece? The granite company told me that drilling holes in it will often crack the granite.
brighteyes on May 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would try using medium density Cyanoacrylate Adhesive. Sincerely, Bill Jenkins
Hello, are these capable of mounting vertically?
Captainhutch on Oct 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes but it may not operate as quiet as the bearings will move a bit.
i am making a granite top lazy susan 30" diameter. The granite will weigh approximately 60 lbs. What size bearing or swivel would recommend?
len s on Jun 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Len, I purchased in early 2015 the Rocker Lazy Susan Extra Large Aluminum swivel (23 5/8 x 7/8) for a simular peice of granite. The weight was a bit more than yours, as i recall it was over 100 lbs but this swivel was pefect for it and works great with no issues. My thought was to get something more than is required to prevent it breaking down over time.
Are the ball bearings stainless steel?
John B on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't know if they are or not. I can say it works well but not sure about the ball bearings
Are the ball bearing stainless steel? Can this be used outside? Will the ball bearings corrode or rust?
jan k on Sep 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I used mine for an interior application. As long as it's lubricated, I don't see any reason not to use it outside. Some white lithium grease would probably work well.
Can this lazy susan ring be lubicated? Does it need any lubrication? What lubricant should I use?
Jack T on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have not needed to add any lubrication, if the unit is kept clean the roller balls should last forever. If it ever did require any lubricant I would use a dry lubricant such as graphite. Hope this helps Jim
Would this work to rotate a chair?
Lauren C on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Lauren,
It definitely does. I had to make an aluminum plate 1/4" thick to mount the lazy susan to and then the plate had four ears on it where I drilled holes to match where the original feet of the chair are. It easily supports folks as big as 230 lbs. and probaly more. Just make sure that your mounting plate is good.
Highly recommend.
Can I put a glass top on this item for my dining table?
William L on Feb 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you notice the white dots on the exterior ring, they are a type of plastic , Polypropylene , I suspect.
If you can find a suitable epoxy or instant glue that will bond that to glass it might work. I attached the lazy susan to a 1/4" aluminum plate which I threaded to accept 10/24 flat head screws. The plate is attached to the chair it supports with metric bolts that are same size as those the held the original feet of the chair. BTW the chairs are $5,500. each. "Minotti" from Italy. The lazy susans support all weight easily and smoothly. Approx. 350 -400 lbs.
HIGHLY recommend this product.
Can plywood base be mounted on this and then electric lift chair sit on top so chair can be swiveled?
Julie R on Feb 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As long as the weight distribution is balanced it should work. Think about the weight shift during the lift action. The heavier the person, the more the chair would need to be off centered.
Do you have similar lazy susan of smaller diameter? My base is 15X15in.
Cindy M on Dec 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I did a 32in round lazy susan... it work great. I dont know if you are doing a box , but i dont see why it would work any differently.
Hi, for an 87” round table, what diameter swivel should I use, and what diameter should the board be? Thanks
mezirion on Nov 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Based upon my experience a general rule of thumb would be to size the swivel to approximately half the size of the round table top, so with an 87" round table top the swivel should be 40-48" in diameter. Please note you should also consider load bearing as you get into large swivels like this.
I have a metal lazy susan top for my outdoor table. It has 2 sets of screw holes that are 21 7/8" apart in diameter. I ordered another lazy susan swivel and the pre-drilled holes are only 21 3/8 inches apart, so it won't work. How far apart are the holes on this swivel?
Erin Q on May 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My unit measures 21 1/8 inches dia.
What do you have available for a 60" solid oak top on an 8ft diameter table?
Ignatius L on Mar 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This seems to be the largest bearing that Rockler sells. I am using mine on a 3' diameter disk that is very stable with a 200+lb person standing on it. I do not however know how it would be with a 5' disk. (Although if the disk is sturdy and the weight on the platform is well balanced, I think it should be fine.)
Can I use the large swivel to rotate a King Size Bed 90 degrees left or right?
