Micro Jig GRR-Ripper® Advanced 3D Push Block System GR-200

Advanced push block provides unrivaled safety and control over both the keeper and the waste piece—ideal for ripping thin strips.

This advanced model of the GRR-Ripper boasts all of the same innovative features of the GR-100 but comes with two additional accessories (see below) that improve the control and expandability of the GRR-Ripper System. The Micro Jig GRR-Ripper Advanced 3D Pushblock (GR-200) is designed to feed your workpiece more safely and more accurately than with conventional push blocks, resulting in intact fingers, less burning and less waste. With its 3-Directional control, it gives you downward, forward, and lateral pressure on the stock for maximum control. Since it acts as a movable blade guard that travels with your hand, it provides an additional safety buffer between the blade and your hands. Whether you are making razor-thin veneer strips, building miniatures, or creating exquisite furniture you will save time, materials, and fingers with the GRR-Ripper.

The GR-200 includes additional accessories. The Adjustable Spacer adds increased gripping surface for tackling larger stock. It also adds one inch of cutting width to the GRR-Ripper and acts as a secondary balance support for small stock and straight-line ripping. Great add-on for working on the router table, and eliminating snipe. The Stabilizing Plate adds a new dimension of control to the GRR-Ripper. It is particularly useful when cutting small narrow pieces of stock. Perfect for trickier cuts like resawing, bevel edging, pattern routing, and much more. The Stabilizing Plate also acts as a secondary fence that travels with the GRR-Ripper along the left side of the stock. It holds the off-cut piece in its original position through the entire cutting operation. Some users call it a "Feather Board Plate," but unlike a featherboard, it exerts no sideways pressure. Instead it simply holds the drop-off piece in position as it travels past the blade, preventing binding.

Woodworking Experience:
Great tool to keep fingers intact
Especially for small projects on table saw and router table, this is a must for safety. Far more versatile than any home made tools for the same purpose.

Great concept
I made doorstops the day I put it together. I could not have completed that project as safely, or even if at all without the Grr-ripper.

Don’t let the price scare you away. While wooden push blocks and sticks can get the job done, this system makes it virtually 100 percent safe and sure as you make various cuts. They are almost infinitely adjustable and you can cut next to the fence down to about 1/4” width, safely. I now have four, all placed next to various saws, jointers and such. Just buy one and take the time to learn to use them. You’ll be amazed.

Micro Jig GRR-Ripper GR200
Excellent! I can now safely use my table saw and router by using Micro Jig GRR-Ripper. I especially like the saw pieces of wood on my table saw without the fear of dangerous and deadly kickback of wood.

This is the 3rd GRR-Ripper Purchased
I'm setting up the 3rd shop, so yet another GRR-Ripper 200. I've been using table saws with only a riving knife and no blade guard for over 50 years. Prior to the GRR-Ripper, I had to make a lot of custom push blocks.

Rockler was running a special that threw in the latest gravity drop push block. This new gravity drop push block is a great improvement over the old stationary version. It saves having to cut your own sacrificial gravity drops out of plywood and come up with longer T-bolts and jam nuts or wing nuts with lock-tite (at least until you eat up the 5 that come with it).

IMO: A riving knife, zero clearance insert, sacrificial fence, and GRR-Ripper are equal partners in table saw safety and usability.

Dont have a sawstop so makes me feel much more comfortable running small cuts. Also keeping materials tight to fence.

One user says it slips on wood, does not grip securely. Is this typical?
A shopper on May 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have not had any slipping problems. The Gripper also has a small hook on the end which helps hold it.
Is there a DVD that comes with it?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a very good DVD included. You may need to pause it a few times or watch it over again, but it does the job. Highly recommended Push Block System and alot safer to boot!!!!
Can this be used with Dewalt DW745 with the riving knife still installed?
John M on Mar 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Riving knives are supposed to be adjusted so that are slightly lower than the blade so you can do cuts that don't go all the way through the material. The GRR-Ripper properly adjusted for the cut you are making will straddle the blade and the riving knife. Son in law has the DW745 and I've used my GRR-Ripper on his saw.
Will it work with rockwell blade runner 2?
Rod B on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Only in a very limited fashion. It is intended for use on a table saw.
