Micro Jig GRR-Ripper® Advanced 3D Push Block System GR-200

This advanced model of the GRR-Ripper boasts all of the same innovative features of the GR-100 but comes with two additional accessories (see below) that improve the control and expandability of the GRR-Ripper System. The Micro Jig GRR-Ripper Advanced 3D Pushblock (GR-200) is designed to feed your workpiece more safely and more accurately than with conventional push blocks, resulting in intact fingers, less burning and less waste. With its 3-Directional control, it gives you downward, forward, and lateral pressure on the stock for maximum control. Since it acts as a movable blade guard that travels with your hand, it provides an additional safety buffer between the blade and your hands. Whether you are making razor-thin veneer strips, building miniatures, or creating exquisite furniture you will save time, materials, and fingers with the GRR-Ripper.

The GR-200 includes additional accessories. The Adjustable Spacer adds increased gripping surface for tackling larger stock. It also adds one inch of cutting width to the GRR-Ripper and acts as a secondary balance support for small stock and straight-line ripping. Great add-on for working on the router table, and eliminating snipe. The Stabilizing Plate adds a new dimension of control to the GRR-Ripper. It is particularly useful when cutting small narrow pieces of stock. Perfect for trickier cuts like resawing, bevel edging, pattern routing, and much more. The Stabilizing Plate also acts as a secondary fence that travels with the GRR-Ripper along the left side of the stock. It holds the off-cut piece in its original position through the entire cutting operation. Some users call it a "Feather Board Plate," but unlike a featherboard, it exerts no sideways pressure. Instead it simply holds the drop-off piece in position as it travels past the blade, preventing binding.

Don't make narrow rips without this!
This essential tool makes narrow rip cuts about as safe as they possibly can be. You should think of this safety item as a "rolling blade guard". It firmly grips the piece being ripped and creates a stable platform for your hands above the blade, throughout the cut. It guards your hands from a saw blade accident and it also reduces the chance for kickback as you can make a firm, confident push through the entire length of the workpiece. No fumbling with or for a push stick.

It takes time to work out how to use it. It is not simple but it is not overly complicated either. It is well worth a lifetime of safe rip cuts to take time at first to learn how to use the GRR-Ripper. Watch the videos carefully and then set up various pieces and view the GRR-Ripper in relation to the blade before ever turning on the saw.

An essential accessory is the Gravity Heel Kit. This should be the first thing you buy with your GRR-Ripper. Buy this with the GR-200 rather than get the "Advanced", which you can purchase later as you become familiar with the tool. These help tremendously with push stability and are designed to be sacrificial, saw through it with the blade.

Sight down the GRR-Ripper before every cut to ensure that you have lined up the legs properly. After that, it is pretty easy to confidently set up with speed.

Remember, don't make narrow rip cuts without it. I even make wider cuts with the tool because the confidence it gives you in doing a correct speed push through the blade really minimizes kickback risk.

excellent construction,functional and much safer
Well made and worth the price.
Performs as intended, and makes cutting smaller pieces much less stressful.
I've used with table saw and jointer, and expect it to well with the band saw.
Don't choke on the price, you will be happy with it.

GRR-Rpper GR-200
Great product for use on my table saw. I feel more in control when pushing material through the spinning blade. I also have the adjustable handle which gives me more control in securing the material against the fence I would recommend the GR-200 to anyone who wants to gain more control during cutting or routing projects.

Innovative, well engineered
When I first saw a Grr-Ripper demo some time ago, I thought, this is a pretty cool push block, having lots of configuration options, and the ability to cut very small wood pieces safely. But the price kept me away - until recently. I got one as a gift and started using it, googling all the different configs and techniques, and trying it as often as I could. While it exceled in handling small pieces, long pieces were a challenge. After I bit the bullet and bought GRR-Ripper number 2, I got a handle on (no pun intended) how to use both on long boards using a leapfrog technique.
The price still stings - slightly. But I don't have regrets in getting 2 blocks along with the 1/8 side pieces. They've been working great for me, both on the table saw and my router table.

This tool is great I have used it a few times still learning the in’s & outs of the Ripper. Only problem I have is the tool is way to pricy could be priced less & still make a profit. But it’s design is a great limb saver! ????

I like this unit. This seems like a lot of fuss for a push block but it really does work better for holding small items against the fence and moving smoothly through the saw.

One user says it slips on wood, does not grip securely. Is this typical?
A shopper on May 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have not had any slipping problems. The Gripper also has a small hook on the end which helps hold it.
Is there a DVD that comes with it?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a very good DVD included. You may need to pause it a few times or watch it over again, but it does the job. Highly recommended Push Block System and alot safer to boot!!!!
Will it work with rockwell blade runner 2?
Rod B on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Only in a very limited fashion. It is intended for use on a table saw.
