Realize the full potential of your router in only seconds with the easy-to-install CRB7 MK3 Multi-Function Router Base. The CRB7 MK3 arms your router with the ability to cut fully micro-adjustable dadoes, mortises, circles, and indexed grooves for faux paneling and shelving systems. In addition to that, the offset design provides excellent anti-tilt support, and includes an accessory support foot for routing narrow materials. The MK3 also boasts a large circle compass feature enabling you to rout circles from 19'' to over 50''. Increased stability in turn leads to better accuracy and finish quality.

You can also add the CRB7 Edging Trim Kit (#45052, sold separately) for the ability to trim solid wood edging or edging tape without having to run your router on the narrow edge of the material. The CRB7 fits all routers with edge guide rod drillings, and unlike similar jigs, it requires no screws or drivers to install, just slide it on and tighten the knobs.

  • Adjustable Dadoing or Trenching with a Clamp Guide: Set your clamp guide (sold separately) once and adjust the position of the router via the CRB7 MK3's Micro Adjuster
  • The CRB also increases the reference surface between your router and the clamp guide, and reduces clamp guide set up time
  • Adjustable Mortising: Install the included mortising pins to cut "centered and off centered" mortises. Microadjust wheel allows you to precisely control the width of the mortise
  • Ant-Tilt Support: Traditionally, most of the router base remains unsupported when edge routing, but the CRB anti-tilt leg eliminates router tilt, especially important when routing narrow workpieces
  • Compass/Circle Cutter: Use the magnetic pin to rout precision circles and holes, even holes that are actually smaller than the base of the router! CRB can rout circles from 3/4'' to 8-3/4'' radius, using a 1/4'' straight bit
  • Large Compass/Circle Cutter: Uses a pivot hub and 25/64'' compass rods to rout precision circles and holes from 19'' to over 50'' Diameter
  • Offset Base Plate: Increases overall router stability
  • CRB also moves the pivot hand that the router toward the center of the panel, reducing the chance of burn marks
  • Adjustable/Repeatable Beadboard, Groove Copier: The CRB provides a simple and exceptionally quick way of accurately repeating a dado or grooves for shelving systems and false panelling
  • Use the Edging Trim Kit (#45052, sold separately) to effortlessly and accurately trim hardwood and iron-on edging flush with the panel
  • Set up with speed and ease - The CRB7 MK3’s adjustable cranked rods allow both the inter rod width and rod height to be simultaneously adjusted
  • Fitting the CRB7 MK3 to your favorite router couldn't be easier, the cranked rods allow it to be fitted to the majority of routers on the market
  • Quick Change: Unlike most router jigs, the CRB7 can be fitted/removed in less than 10 seconds, with no fiddly screws or cantering jigs required
  • Micro Adjuster: High precision router cutter position can be attained and repeated using the knurled and indexed micro adjuster
  • 2'' Bakelite Ball Handle: Ergonomic design, comfortable to the touch
  • Indexed Rule: Self-adhesive Imperial/Metric rule ensures fast, easy readings
  • 2-Section Anti-Tilt Leg supports and stabilizes the router when routing materials from 3/8'' to 3-1/4'' thick
  • Includes two pairs of different sized guide rods to fit more routers
  • Onboard Magnetic Pivot Pin Storage: A safe home for this essential component, easily accessible when ever needed
  • Professional Grade Build: Made in England, CRB is manufactured to the highest standards and features a machined, hard-anodized solid aluminum bridge
  • Laser cut 5mm thick acrylic baseplate and precision-turned steel and brass components

Woodworking Experience:
Best thing since sliced....
have four Bosch routers, found their guide adequate but with short comings. took a look at this unit and it is an absolutely great upgrade. the fact that it is capable of multiple chores and is built with precision should not get in the way of it just being fun to work with. added the edge trim guide and spent the afternoon finding out what it was capable of. I'm happy as a clam.

Woodworking Experience:
Must have router accessory.
If you need dadoes, rabbits or grooves in large work pieces this is the tool to have. Works equally well at edge routing or while doing interior work. I've coupled mine with my clamp-on edge guide with great success.

Woodworking Experience:
Circles larger than 50 inches.
When I bought the CRB7 I was hoping there would be a way I could alter the base to make bigger circles. When I discovered that the four guide rods screw together , end to end , I screwed the smaller rod into the base and proceeded to cut the 35-3/8" radius circle to match the arch of my windows. It worked flawlessly. I also use the router and base to trim the plywood around the window framing.

I would like to cut out multi size circles and this product looks like it will do the trick. Yes I could make my own jig, but it has multi features I may be using in the future. This jig will save me time from having to make other jigs and space in my shop.

All-In-One Clamp Guide Package With Squaring Attachment
BEST ANSWER: It only rides along the edge so this should work just fine
Cutting a circle. How do you stop the router from moving when you cut through with the pivot pin in the part of the circle cut away? None of the videos show that final step. Worry that once cut through the router is now free moving.....
BeauxTi on Sep 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Use doubled sided tap to tape work piece to sacrificial board underneath the work piece. Be siure to tape across the center section. Then center piece will not move
Im interested in this router base and Id like to know if it could be adapted to function with a Festool guide track, which I already have?
Dave C on Dec 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This router base fits my Festool and Bosch routers. It works fine with both. I never used it with my track but I don't see any reason why you can't use the track as the edge guide.
What is the minimal, center-to-center spacing between the parallel guide rails? I need about 3.25" for my Makita RT0701-type plunger base (P/N 195563-0). By the way, it takes the 8MM guide rails.
Bob K on Mar 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: To fit smaller routers - the minimum distance between router rod drilling centers is just under 2" . So yes the CRB7 should fit the Makita RT0701
I am hoping to fit a Makita plunge router (3600BR) to this base and my machine is optioned to take 12mm guide bars. I notice the CRB7 comes with 8mm rods and Id like to know if these a compatibility issue matching my router and the CRB7?
Dave C on Jan 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: M.Power sells optional 10mm and 12mm steel rods that will fit your router base and provide a more secure mounting option than the included 8mm rods. Contact M.Power US directly to order these rods.
Will this fit a Porter Cable 890 plunge router (not 891 or 892)?
Bruce T on Jan 24, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This base does not fit the 890 series of routers, including the 890 plunge base.
Can this jig be used to route a rectangle hole (panel) in a plywood/melamine board? Does it have X Y Z direction and stops?
Sherif H on Dec 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don’t think that the xyz applies with this tool accessory, but does apply with CNC machines. If you calculate the measurement from your router bit to the edge of your router base plate and made stops to control the size hole your making, and just remove some material by adjusting your depth of the router bit with each pass, that would be a good starting point.
What size collets?
Nick C on Aug 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: -not sure I understand the question. The CRB7 is a router base and you can use whatever size collet suits your job.
Can I use a ryobi plonge router for this guide?
Nechemya on Jan 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I do not own a Ryobi plunge router but the rods for attaching are made to adjust to many different positions so I would expect it to work. The only issue I see would be the size of the rods to the holes on the router. On Rockler's Web page for this item there is a link to compatible routers. The list show many of the Ryobi routers by model name. Only one model says no to compatibility. Also in the review section a comment with 3 stars said the manufacturer sent him larger bars to accommodate his Hitachi router. I hope this helps. If it does work you can always return it to Rockler.
Will this Compact Router work with this Item?
DeWalt DWP611PK Compact Router
Fred S on Dec 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use a DeWalt DWP611 Compact Router with my CRB7 MK3 , so I can't see how it would not fit your PK version of the same router.
