Great mat!
I am using this to make a small side table ironing board. It is by my side while quilting. This mat keeps the ironing pad from sliding around the little table. It is fantastic!

Varied uses
I have used a Router Mat for years mostly for sanding and some routing. The latest purchase was as a non-slip base for a large cutting board I made for my daughter. I'm sure she will find it very useful.

Making drawer fronts and small boxes without always using a router table is a great option. This is what you need for such operations.

This large mat is great when sanding flat objects. I don't trust anything but a clamp when routing but it grips great when sanding.

Is this the same material found on the bench cookies?
Susan C on Aug 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No...it is more like the material found in rubber cabinet liners. But works great.
If I use this on my luthier bence will it stick to, or mar a guitar finish?
Skyfog on Dec 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has a soft surface which should not mar any wood finish but I'm not familiar with what a luthier bence is so I cannot answer with certainty.
