Works well!
Works great! I am using in on a horizontal metal cutting bandsaw. I am able to lock it in an upright position and attach a plate to use it like a vertical bandsaw. The resawing I have done so far has gone well and the blade has performed well for me.

I didn't realize how dull my old blades were!
Putting a new blade on should have been a natural reaction to using a dull one, but I hadn't noticed just how dull the old blade was. I wasn't able to follow a straight or curved layout line and caused myself a lot of extra work correcting my ruff cut from the old blade. After installing a new Olsen blade I was able to cut tight corners and smooth radius cuts along a layout line so much cleaner that I suggest everyone consider replacing the present blade they have.

The right tool for the right job
I rediscovered my bandsaw while making turning blocks for pens. I wanted to make some boxes from lumber I harvested (ash thanks to the borers) and walnut from my father-in-law. The blades I had were inadequate and cheap. It took half an hour to resaw into 3/8 and 1/2 inch boards.

The new blade made the work go smoothly and accurately as part of my update and retuning the saw. New bearings and this blade worked wonders.

The two pictures illustrate the machine and the results.

You need quality blades for band saw cutting, especially in tight turns, and the desire for no burning as you turn & cut is greatly desired.

Your saw is only as good as the blade you put in it. A 1/4 inch band saw blade is a great choice as a general purpose blade. Resawing will require a wider blade with fewer teeth per inch.

How many teeth per inch should I use for bandsaw boxes on an 1/8 inch blade?
A shopper on Aug 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 10 to 14 per inch
How many teeth per inch 22382?
Ernest M on Aug 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 3teeth perr inch used for reasawing use a 1/4 inch 6 teeth per inch for all other curs
I want to cut some hard woods with out to much blade marks what size and TPI do I use?
RIC'S W on Oct 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: More teeth per inch the smoother the cut. Also the faster the blade runs should be smoother. If tight turns use the 1/8th blade, 1/4 inch won't turn as tight, if you are making vaneer cuts you can get a much wider blade.
We just inherited an old AMT 14" band saw that specifies 92.5" blades. The Olson blades I have seen here are 93.5" long. Can we assume the saw's tension adjustment can compensate for the one-inch difference in length?
Stan C on Mar 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It should have enough travel to compensate but you will not be able to rely on the blade with gauge for setting blade tension. You should look at videos that demonstrate how to check your blade for proper tension.
