Not happy with the product
The roll of veneer was dented in one area that went right through three layers making part of the roll unusable. Also the Birch did not take stain evenly even after using a pre-season.

The package arrived rolled up and seemed to have had something heavy sitting on top of it during shipping and was broken thus not allowing it to be used as intended. The veneer itself has a very pretty appearance but probably needs to be packaged better for shipping

PSA - Pressure Sensitive Veneer - 24 Inch X 96 Inch
PSA - Pressure Sensitive Veneer - 24 Inch X 96 Inch
BEST ANSWER: The 24" x 8 foot you note is not PSA. It only has a paper backing, not an PSA backing.
Which way does the grain run?
Erndude on Oct 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Longitudinally, i.e., along the long axis.
Is the veneer 2' x 8' nominal or actual in size?
jonathan s on Aug 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hey Jonathan, I'm not sure. I will not use the product until later this week. But having said that I'd say actual based on the packaging. Keep in mind when fitting veneer it's easier to glue oversized and trim. I will try to get back to you once I un-package the product.
I have some rough cut pine beams to cover will the veneer stick to this ok?
Jon A on Feb 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Howdy, my experience with any veneer application requires the material being veneered, having a smooth surface. The issue would be the adhesive utilized to fasten the veneer to the rough pine. The adhesive would have to be "gap filling". Most veneer adhesives would not meet this requirement. Assuming the solid pine was flat, the other issue you may have is seasonal wood movement due to expansion and shrinking of the pine during seasonal changes. You may find the pine experiencing seasonal movement, yet the veneer would remain stable, thereby weakening the glue adhesion.
how thick is the veneer and will it bend around a 3/4" round-over?
Dennis N on Oct 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi, hope I'm understanding what kind of radius a 3/4 roundover has, I'm not a woodworker, but I'll say this veneer is quite thin, barely 1/16" and it will bend very nicely as long as it's with the grain (i.e. direction of grain will not bend, 90 degrees from grain will bend). The roll we got had no cracks, good integrity. I thought it was good stuff.
Do you glue the paper side down or the veneer?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Paper side down.
Should I use a Backer Vaneer? I am replacing the veneer on a buffet and I removed two layers so I am assuming the second layer was backer veneer?
kristal w on Sep 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you removed two, then replace two. This will bring the veneer to the correct height.
What is the best adhesive to use with this veneer? I also need a recommendation on a product to fill some surface dimples in the MDF I will be mounting the veneer to. I need solutions that occasional outdoor summertime temperatures will not affect? Thank you.
Alan on Sep 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use contact cement with this veneer. Roll the veneer thoroughly with a veneer roller or burnish it with a rounded-over wood block. To fill MDF I use an automotive body filler, like Bondo if I can work in a ventilated area, or just regular spackle. Body filler fills deep voids quickly, spackle may take a few separate applications.
is this product pre finished or do I apply stain to it?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: All veneers are unfinished.
