Woodworking Experience:
Good bridge for narrow work
Tried these first time for narrow work. Rather than balancing on staggered points, these form a narrow surface bridge and give solid support when finishing. Also used to support table legs, have more balance when setting up the finishing setup. Could complement to cookie family.

Great Addition
These Bench Cookie Bridges are at great addition to my Bench Cookies. The points are good but they are tricky to use when a item you are finishing is narrow. These bridges are the perfect addition. I was able to paint a one-inch strip without any problem. They can be used alone or in combination with the Bench Cookies. I used my alone.

I own the bench cookies with the the points. They work very well, when the project is narrow like a strip of molding, the points do not work. These bridges look like the ticket to solving the problem.

Will use to help with painting/staining

I spray a lot of finishes and these bridges help protect the cookies and the wood from build up over spray.

I have little plastic pyramids for this sort of thing, but I often have some narrow item that is hard to balance on them. And even when I get them balanced, the plastic pyramids tend to slide around as I am brushing or rubbing the wood.

I have a bunch of cookies and optional point bridges. These just make more sense when you want to support tiurnwork withoutmpotentially adding point dents.

Hopefully these will not leave indentations on the bottom of large boards, doors or table tops like those painter's pyramids do.

Do a lot of "long board" painting/staining. Hoping they are sturdier than painter pyramids

The point set I think would work great for big flat pieces, but I often do long boards as well and think these would work better!

What about the points of contact between the bridges and the work - won't these spots not be finished?
Noah K on Feb 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Varnishing oak baseboard - the wrong side is varnished first, then flipped to do the revealed surface. It sticks minimally but seems to dry completely. I don't use a hockey puck with the the bridge, but the work is elevated above the bench enough to brush out drips and runs. Also use the painters pyramids for larger work with good results... g
