Dust Right® Bench Sweep

Gobbles up wood shavings and sawdust from your benchtop—use passively with gravity, or with a shop vacuum for added protection from airborne dust.
Item #
50608
Rating:

Keep your work surfaces pristine by sweeping dust and chips into our convenient ''catch-all'' Bench Sweep. Open the cover and it acts as a backstop to deflect dust and debris down into the funnel as you sweep it off your benchtop. Closing the cover provides the same function as a blast gate. A grid inside the Bench Sweep keeps larger chunks of wood out of your dust collection system, and also helps to save screws, dowels and other bits of valuable hardware that could otherwise be lost.

Features:
  • When used without a dust collector, you can hang the grid on the back of the Bench Sweep
  • Additional hooks on both ends let you store brushes and other essential tools close at hand
  • Keyhole mounting slots let you easily move the Bench Sweep from table to table
  • Dust port on funnel fits standard 2-1/2'' dust hose, as well as the Dust Right Shop Vacuum Handle (#55083, sold separately)

Added this to my work bench and really like how I can just sweep the dust and shavings in! Added screws to another bench so I can move it back and forth for now.

Miter Saw dust collector
Needed to build a dust collector for this newly installed miter saw. Minimal room to the rear of the saw. Built a simple box to contain the saw dust and installed the Bench Sweep on the bottom/rear of the box. 2-1/2" vacuum hose is connected underneath and runs to the front of the work station. Simple connection to portable or stationary shop vac.
12" miter saw with dust collector surrounding 5 of 6 sides.
Bench Sweep installed at rear of collector. Vac hose attached underneath to connect to shop vac.

Excellent! Used for custom miter saw dust hood
I incorporated the bench sweep into a dust hood for my Milwaukee 12 inch compound miter saw. It was the perfect length (hood width is 28 inches). It fit snugly into the cutout after I removed the hinged cover and cut off two of the tool hooks.

BEST ANSWER: I think it is to Large and is to straight at least for dewalt miter saw
