Very good and useful knobs
I used the knobs atop a homemade drill press table fence and they are easy to tighten and don't interfere with the work face side of the fence. Highly recommend.

Great knobs
I was really looking for a male version with a longer screw but decided to get the female version and make my own These knobs have the threaded hole straight through so it's easy to insert a long machine screw through it and glue it in at the head to make the male version. These knobs have a grip-covering to make it easier to grip and turn. I've always received good quality items from Rockler and this is just another of their fine products.

What is the length of round section below the grip?
Howard B on Jan 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Length is 0.50oo in. below the knob's grip, the threaded area is 0.60oo in. overall! Don't forget that the knob is open on both ends. Measurement is taken from the bottom of the knob.
Is the threading metal? Or plastic?
Todd J on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The threading is metal. These are really nice knobs!
Does it have a locknut or just a regular nut? looking for a locknut version.
yonkrz on Aug 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: As it is intended to be tightened and removed often, it does not have a locknut at the bottom. They are very secure when using them on a drill press or other fixture in conjunction with different devices to hold and secure the item being worked on.
are these "american " course threads ?
Paul M on Dec 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These are American, now called Imperial. They are either 1/4” or 5/16” course thread.
