Rockler Miniature Round Over Router Bits - 1/4" Shank

Item #
GRP40066
Rating:
100% of 100
Rockler Miniature Round Over Router Bits are the finest available for use in creating jewelry boxes, humidors, and other small boxes and crafts! With its undersized 8mm bearing, these round over bits dips nimbly in and out of corners, virtually eliminating the widely arcing, shallow-cut corners that would result from an ordinary bit with a standard sized bearing.

Sharp!
Great bit, very sharp and cuts like a hot knife through butter. Bit was a little on the pricey side, but overall I’m very happy with how it performed

Helping to make children happy
Great bit that smoothly routs the small cars we make to send to the mission field. We rout the edges and wheels on all cars, with our small group making over 3200 last year.

Mini round over bit
Fantastic! As a hobby I've just started making wooden kitchen utensils. I was rounding edges on a belt sander which took a while since I didn't want to sand off too much. I've been looking for a bit locally but couldn't find one small enough. Found this one on your web site. Faster & smoother & clean work piece.

Just what I've been looking for.
I make a cutting board that has an area where I can't round over because it's too small to get the bearing of a normal round over bit, so I have to round it over by hand. This solves the problem for me, and a good sharp bit to boot.

Great for tight curves and small clearance.
The guide bearings on my standard round over bits would not pass through the narrow channels on a curvy bandsaw box I built. I bought both the 1/8" & 1/4" inch radius bits and ended up using the 1/4" on this project. I drilled a 7/8" hole in a piece of Masonite and stuck it to the router table with double sided tape for a zero clearance cutting surface. The bit cut the purple heart effortlessly and clean. I'll get a lot of use out of these bits, really glad I picked them up.

I needed A round over bit for very small clock faces and believe this will work just fine. I also know from previous orders from Rockler that I can trust them. Bill Goodwin

What is the difference between these 2 bits? I want smallest roundover for subtle edges.
Ruth H on Oct 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The only real difference between the two is the miniature allows you to follow tighter inside curves. That’s the reason I bought mine. It still produces the same quarter inch round over edge. If you want something more subtle I would suggest the 1/8 inch round over
I'm new at this router thing and I'm just trying to soften the edge of some 3/4" plywood garage shelves i'm building just in case (when) my grandson takes a header into one of them. But I'm not sure which round over bit to buy. Suggestions?
Gerald B on Jan 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I bought the 1/8 inch round over bit a few months ago. Works great on plywood or any other wood if you only want a small round edge.
