Roller stand review
Purchased two. Reason for purchase was to support 4”x6”x12’ timbers while cutting mortise and tenons at my drill press, table saw and chop saw. No problems were encountered. I appreciated that they were sturdy enough to support these heavy timbers and adjustable enough to meet the different equipment heights. The roller function worker well facilitating a much easier production. I recommend them.

Woodworking Experience:
Does what it's designed to do well
This is my favorite roller and I wish I had just bought another one of these rather than adding the heavy duty roller/flip top stand.

Woodworking Experience:
Heavy duty roller stand
Excellent heavy duty stand. Nifty leveling feature in legs gives you a solid, non-wobbly stand once you adjust it for your location. Easy height adjustment and smooth roller when moving long boards.

Woodworking Experience:
Good value
Roller moves smooth and stand is very stable on my somewhat uneven shop floor. I wouldn't call the leveling system "unique" since I've seen it many times before, but it works very well.

Very impressed with the quality at this price. I've bought more expensive stands at work that don't measure up to this cheaper option

Planing 6x6x8 timbers and the roller stands with the small bearings aren't well suited for dimensional lumber. Especially large pieces of wood.

Rockler Roller Stand
Rockler Roller Stand
Rockler Ball Bearing Stand
Rockler Ball Bearing Stand
BEST ANSWER: A necessity in small shop board ripping. Folds up when not being used. No need for a dedicated outfeed table.
How wide is the top roller bar? Husband has the Rockler stand with eight ball bearings and he loves it. Want to get him a second one for a new project and see that this one is on sale. ?? Will buy only if it offers the same usability. Thanks!
Sandi on Nov 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Top roller bar is a 2 inch diameter cylinder that is 11-1/2 long. I had a ball bearing stand for years and it worked well for sheet goods. However, the roller bar works much better for dimensional stock that can get caught between the balls on the other style. Thus this stand is more versatile, in my experience.
is the roller interchangeable? I need a stand but the roller itself has to be stainless steel.
Morgan on Jul 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The roller appears to be mounted with a press-fit 0.385" diameter rod that goes in through a bushing on one end of the roller bracket (the horizontal black part of the stand pictured above), through plates at either end of the roller and out through a bushing on the other end of the roller bracket. There are no bearings that I could see and there is no way, short of pressing out the rod and pressing on a new roller, to remove the roller. That said, the plates that the rod is pressed into are plastic, so the fit is probably not too tight. It might be possible to press it out and press on a different roller. I am not sure what the roller is made of. It seems like chromed steel. It has not taken on any rust in my shop after about a year of use, and it works well for me.
What is the spring loaded axle for and how does it work? Thank you.
Kevin K on Jan 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Mine have no springs. Just a very smooth rolling roller.
where's it manufactured ?
TOM on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is made in Taiwan.
