Let's face it, we all stash our stuff behind the router fence. That's what that space is for, right? Well, maybe until it's time to move the fence to the rear and you have to gather it all up and stash it somewhere else, only to move it all back later. So why not have a neat, organized solution that rides back and forth on the fence? That's what we were wondering, and that's why we made this tray.

Features:

  • Provides convenient, easily accessible storage for router bits, wrenches, insert rings and more
  • Rides along with the fence so tools don't get swept off the table when you move the fence back
  • Five router bit inserts hold both 1/4'' and 1/2'' shank bits
  • 3 pairs of side slots allow storage of longer wrenches and router-lift handles
  • Included low-profile hardware lets you mount it anywhere along standard top- or rear-facing T-track
  • 16-gauge steel for strength and durability—holds up to 5 lbs.
  • Interior storage space measures 4-1/2'' x 8-3/4'' x 1-1/4''
  • Most fences will accept up to two trays

(1) Router Fence Storage Tray
(5) Router Bit Storage Inserts (pre-installed with adhesive)
(2) 1/4''-20 by 3/8'' long black oxide stainless steel socket-head cap screws
(2) 1/4''-20 by 1/2'' long black oxide stainless steel socket-head cap screws
(2) 1/4'' steel washers
(2) 1/4''-20 thread low-profile narrow-base weld nuts
(1) Hex wrench
(1) Rubber pad

very good idea
excellent addition to any router table. mounting offered will work for most but not all tables I drill and tap 1/4 hole in alum angle back edge then added 1/4 spacer under tray for support. works great keeps bits and tools handy for the job in progress

Does the Job
Well built with many innovated features. Cleared up some of my router table clutter. If your planning on mounting this tray on a Kreg fence, the mounting weld nuts need to be ground a little narrower. Guess not all T-Tack is made the same.

Simple - but effective
It's a cool idea - pretty simple solution to having the most used tools and bits easily accessible. It's simple and could easily be built out of wood - but I'm a sucker for buying these type of jigs (Rockler provides a lot of them)!

As mentioned in another review - the weld nuts don't fit the track on a Kreg router table. One solution would be to grind down the weld nuts - but I took the easy route and just bolted it to the fence with 1/4-20 hex bolts.

Great idea, but the tray needs to fit the fence that I purchased from Rockler a few years ago. The bolt heads that slide into the slot on the fence are too large. I had to grind them down so that they would fit. Like I said great idea, but I expected better from Rockler.

Getting this to use with my router table to store my regularly used tools right on the table. The convenience of having the tools close at hand is just too good to pass up.

I spend most of my time at my router table, keeping track of all the little bits is a pain. This puts everything within my grasp and not rolling around the shop floor.

I have an older style Rockler Router Fence that doesn’t have a top T-track, will a track have to be installed to use this tray?
Mr. Steve on Jun 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It will mount to a Top or Rear facing T-Slot. You would need to mount a T-Track.
