Rolling Barn Door Hardware Kit, Stainless Steel, Vertical Strap

Whisper-quiet ball-bearing rollers combined with the sophistication of stainless steel for a sleek, elegant rolling door.

Rating:
100% of 100

This stainless steel rolling door hardware is one of those products that you have to touch and feel to truly appreciate. From the glassy-smooth ball-bearing action of the roller straps to the heavy, solid extruded track, the quality and careful workmanship are clearly apparent, and will nicely complement the quality of the door you select or build. Rolling door hardware makes a great option where a traditional swinging door would be in the way or where swing clearance is tight. Each kit includes all necessary hardware to hang and guide a single door on a 78-3/4'' track—enough length to accommodate most interior doors. The roller straps are surface-mounted, and can be used with wood or glass doors.

Functioned as advertised and works well. The set up process to mate the rail tabs to the wall mounts is a little arduous. Happy with purchase

Easy Install
The install took about an hour. I have a tile floor, so it would be nice to have a different means to support the bottom edge. The finished job looks great.

is this style available in a bi-parting door opening?

what is the dimension from wall surface to outside dimension of hardware?

I see 55mm from inside of roller to outside of hardware but need overall dimension that includes the surface mounted wall standoff.

looks about 22mm making overall 55+22 = 77mm.

Is this correct?

looking for something similar to use as for light weight cabinet doors in a entry way wall cabinet. Any suggestions?
foggybottomwood on Jul 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We are happy with this product, but it may be more than you need. We hung a heavy oak door from it to replace a hinged door.
I have an existing framed door opening without a door. I want to install a sliding barn door - will I need to remove the opening casing? It's a standard 1/4 deep casing.
Mark J on May 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Per our salesman, you do not need to remove the casing around the opening. What you do need is backing to secure the barn door track to. The barn door will be installed over the casing and it has a better look that way.
Hope that helps.

What is the finish of the stainless steel? It kind of looks like a satin finish, but it's difficult to tell from the photos.
P Plant on Dec 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The finish is satin, almost like a light brushed stainless. By the way, the quality and appearance of this hardware is outstanding.
Do the slide mounts require a hole in the door? I am hanging etched glass and don't want to put holes in it.
Nola G on Sep 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Although our door was an 8' wood door, we could see from the directions that glass would require the same hole pattern. Shipped with our hardware was what you would need to push through the wood and for glass.
It required two holes stacked, like in the picture. I have not seen a rolling glass door without holes for mounting. Hope this helps.
is there anyway to modify this hardware to work with a 3" thick door?
Jason S on Feb 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It would be possible to mortise in the vertical straps that connect the door.
I want to buy this hardware however I need it to accommodate a 48" wide glass door?
Daniel O on Jun 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the door track is securely anchored into a back plate or studs I don't believe you'll have a problem.
Does Rockler offer this type of setup for bypass doors? I need it to be wall mounted and would like the 2 doors to slide next to each other. One in front and one back. I hope that made sense.
A shopper on Jul 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not know. We loved this hardware and have yet to do the project. It is still in the box. I guess it would depend on the length of the bar at the top and if you bought two sets of the hardware (for the other door).
Sorry I could not be more help.
Can we buy 2 extra roller strap hanging brackets? We are installing 2 small doors.
