Rockler Roundover/ Beading Router Bits - 1/4" Shank

These dual-purpose bits include an additional smaller bearing that can be installed when a beaded edge is desired.
Item #
GRP2127_1
Rating:
98% of 100

With two included bearings—one flush for a standard round over, and one slightly smaller for a beaded edge—these combination bits make versatile workhorses that will see plenty of use in your shop. Among our most popular router bit choices, they're perfect for making edges softer, both to the touch as well as to the eye. For a bit more definition, just switch the bearing to the beading mode. Shear angle provides the smoothest cut available.

  • Includes smaller 3/8" bearing and wrench for beading applications at no additional charge.
  • Items with * in the description are larger bits that should be used in router tables at reduced RPM.
  • Two flutes.
  • 1/2" bearing pre-installed.
  • 1/4" shank.

(1) Rockler Round over/Beading Router Bit, 1/4" Shank (with 1/2" bearing pre-installed)

(1) 3/8" bearing

(1) Hex wrench

Over the years I have made many shaker step stools for family and friends and have rounded the edges by hand using a block plane and sand paper taking a lot of time and effort. Since I got the round over bit it has saved me much time and I get a better looking job.

Roundover Bit
I tried another brand of router bits and returned them. The Rockler bits are more expensive. but make a much cleaner cut.

Great Router Bit
Needed to round the edge of a table saw sled I was building. Good price and worked very well on the plywood I was using. Look forward to using it more on other projects.

I'm looking for a 3/4" round over router bit 1/4" shank I'm trying to round off the end of a round table so there is no rebate. I'm using redwood ply. Would this be the correct bit I would use to achieve this. the thickness of the wood is 3/4" ?
Tracey M on Mar 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Given the number of variabes, it would be wise to test on a piece of scrap from the same lumber.
