The precision flat-ground chippers on SawStop's dado set provide dead flat dado bottoms for the best possible glue bond. Six included shims allow precise fine-tuning of the dado width for a tight fit. With the two main blades and five chippers, dados from 1/4'' wide to 29/32'' (just over 7/8'') are achievable.
