Zero Clearance Insert
The original insert was shaved open just a bit with the blade at 45 degrees. So now I have a true Zero Clearance for thin kerf 90 degree cuts and one for 45 degree cuts, too.

Good purchase
I bought these when I purchased my Saw Stop cabinet saw as I knew I would need some zero clearance dado inserts. (Missed that they actually had dado inserts). However, I'm glad I made the mistake. These are the same price as the dado insert and are more versatile since they have the slot for the riving knife/blade guard. They are a snap to adjust to get the right fit and I really like the lock down feature

I use both thin and regular saw blades and my old lock down insert was getting too worn for thin kerf blades.

Does the zero clearance have 45 degree cut or would I make it ?
Mitch M on Aug 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You have to make the cut in the insert for 90 degree or any other degree you desire. Understand, that once you make the cut in the insert it will only function as a zero clearance insert for that angle. You would not be able to make both a 90 and 45 degree cut in one insert. Instructions on how to make the cut in the insert are included. It is a petty simple process. I am not sure why you would want a zero clearance insert for a 45 degree angle. I use the standard insert plate for 45 degree cuts and the zero clearance for 90 degrees.
does a new zero have a 45deg cut like the original ?
Mitch M on Aug 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No. I believe zero has no slot. You create a slot with your saw blade in the 90 position. Watch some videos to see how. For beveled cuts you would use the original insert which is not zero clearance
I have a CNS175, but the insert must be held in place with a button head Allen screw. Will this insert work with that saw? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: Cecil R: Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use both of these inserts on your SawStop Contractor Saw. You will no longer have to use the button screw with our current inserts. Have a great day.
I have a Jobsite SawStop table saw, is there a zero clearance insert for this saw? The lock down insert doesn't work with the Jobsite SawStop table saw.
Michael G on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have a standard issue insert and it came with a slot that is very close to zero tolerance. Because it is an odd size and locking configuration, there may not be a true zero clearance insert. If a true Zero-Tolerance insert is required, you may have to make your own, with a sheet of plastic, but then it may not lock down, and locking down is a good thing. Also, it may void the warranty.
