The Two Cherries 4-Piece Turning Tool Set consists of a gouge, a skew, a parting tool, and a round nose scraper for finishing the bottoms of bowls and undercutting rims on turned vessels. All are popular sizes and styles for spindle work. The tools measure approximately 3/4'', except for the parting tool, which is 3/16'' (nominal). All tools are crafted from top-quality high speed steel for optimal performance on the lathe, and are fitted with sturdy hornbeam handles that are 9-3/8'' long for leverage and stability. The blades are carefully forged and heat-treated in a salt immersion bath for a Rockwell Hardness of 61C. Due to the hardness, sharpening may take an extra few minutes, but the tools will hold an edge significantly longer than just about any other brand on the market. Made in Germany in a family run factory that's been producing quality woodworking tools since 1858.
